Description
Hello! I'd like to share with you a mod aimed to improve raindrops appearance on windshield (and rain in general) and make game more realistic and immersive.

Key features:
  • Add new texture and significantly increase number of raindrops.
  • Improved physical behaviour of particles, now their spawn will be more affected by truck position relatively to rain inclination.
    It makes a huge difference and vastly improve perception of weather! Just try it yourself!
  • Reworked sound effects for wipers and rain
  • New car splash trails

Tweak these sliders to achieve comfortable sound level:
  • Rain inside, Wipers - Interior sounds volume
  • Rain outside - World sounds volume

IMPORTANT
If you want to increase number of raindrops on windshield (3x) install Truck Addon.
ONLY FOR ETS2 SCS TRUCKS! INCOMPATIBLE with modded trucks and interiors.

Mod is compatible with any other weather/sound mods, just give Better Raindrops a priority and place on top of others.

Known issues:
If you experiencing performance issues try to reduce traffic by entering console command g_traffic 0.5. Change the number to find optimal balance between amount of AI cars and your FPS in the rain.

@Avel So should you place this MOD under the Sound Fixes Pack? I saw in the introduction of the Sound Fixes Pack that all mods for sounds like rain need to be placed below it to work..

@伤心小熊仔, I've checked description on Realistic Brutal Graphics And Weather page and it says that:
"Important: Do not use with any other Weather & Rain & Graphics type or similar mods please Disable them."

Considering compatibility issues you've described I would recommend to use only one mod.
It is possible to unpack and merge RBGAW and Better Raindrops together but depending on modding experience it might be very time consuming option.

@Avel kass Realistic Rain & Thunder Sounds provides a raindrop particle system Is it possible to put it on top of your mod, if it's the other way around, I think so, so it becomes no raindrops, no splashes, no drip sound effects, better raindrops Put it under KASS, a realistic rain sound and thunder mod, is it better... Also, I put them under the sound repair package:

伤心小熊仔, you can load them together. Mod that has a higher position in the Mod Manager will overwrite others below it.

Can this be used with KASS's realistic brutal graphics and weather-realistic rain and thunder?

@kyotoryu, it is compatible with tuck/engine sounds, but not with rain sounds.

@PlaysWithWolves, thanks for sharing your opinion! I'll see what can be done.
Meanwhile, if you have engine sound mods, place them above Better Raindrops in Mod Manager. It should fix "excessive" muffling.

I really like the improved rain and snow. However, I had to deactivate these mods (both rain and snow in ETS2 and currently rain in ATS – the Frosty mod isn't available for ATS v.1.55 yet) because the sound is unbearable. Not the rain and snow sound itself, nor the windshield wiper sound, but the rest. The engine sounds completely muffled and is far too quiet. Playing with the controls didn't improve anything. Is there perhaps a way to make the four mods available without the modified sound effects? That would be really great.
