"Important: Do not use with any other Weather & Rain & Graphics type or similar mods please Disable them."

Considering compatibility issues you've described I would recommend to use only one mod.
It is possible to unpack and merge RBGAW and Better Raindrops together but depending on modding experience it might be very time consuming option.

@kyotoryu, it is compatible with tuck/engine sounds, but not with rain sounds.

Meanwhile, if you have engine sound mods, place them above Better Raindrops in Mod Manager. It should fix "excessive" muffling.

I really like the improved rain and snow. However, I had to deactivate these mods (both rain and snow in ETS2 and currently rain in ATS – the Frosty mod isn't available for ATS v.1.55 yet) because the sound is unbearable. Not the rain and snow sound itself, nor the windshield wiper sound, but the rest. The engine sounds completely muffled and is far too quiet. Playing with the controls didn't improve anything. Is there perhaps a way to make the four mods available without the modified sound effects? That would be really great.

Can we also have the truck addon in the workshop?

Excellent work! It works perfectly with the other external Steam mod to increase the number of raindrops. It's my favorite mod I've played, and I think it's the one that most closely resembles real rain.

Why doesn't it work for me with the latest update? in fact, i have tried lots of raindrops mod and none of them work. But I tried to download a crack version of ETS2 and tried different raindrop, it work there just fine. Only the steam version's not working.

@破door而入, ah I understand now. Well, this issue is related to particle physics settings and game engine limitations.

As you've noticed in Better Raindrops mod rain particles are moving faster than in vanilla (unmodded) ETS2. But due to game engine limitations fast-moving particles start to ignore collision with wipers aftrer reaching certain speed threshold, which makes them move across entire windshield untouched.

It can be fixed by increasing friction and reducing acceleration values in physics settings, but it will make particles behaviour more dull and lifeless.

I don't know if this picture can explain this issue clearly, but please take a closer look.

@破door而入, hmmm... Wait, by 'raindrops flying straight across the windshield' do you mean interior raindrop particles on windshield that ignores collision with the wipers (particularly when driving faster than 70km/h)? Or something else?

At the moment I see this happening with the original Volvo FH3. As for the Truck Addon, it only uses some interior and lighting classes.

I always feel that since Winterland of world of trucks returns, the raindrops on the windshield seem to be less dense.......

One of the things I like most about this Mod is that it creates a muffled sound effect for the engine in the cab, which is one of the most comfortable sounds I've ever heard. Of course, the rain sound effect is also done very well. In version 1.51, there was a bug in the muffled sound effect of the SCANIA S BEV cab, and the sound of the motor was especially loud compared to Renault. I don't know if it has been fixed now, and I will try it in the next few days.

@srFtlDH, World Sounds Volume slider affects exterior rain and Interior Sounds is for rain inside the cab.

As for your personal settings, please try to reduce Interior Sounds Volume during rain until you feel comfortable. Also tweak World Sounds if necessary and let me know the values you've got.

@Avel, my audio setup: master volume 75%, world sounds 50%, interior sounds 50. If the sound of rain could be adjusted through the world volume, I adjust the world volume, but there's no response at all

@srFtlDH, I understand that different users have unique hearing and audio setups, also consider that rain could be pretty loud when hitting steel and glass surface of the vehicle. However I can try to reduce sound a bit more, but I need to know what are your in-game Master Volume level, World Sounds & Interior Sounds Volume in %.

The sound of rain in the new version is a bit too loud, maybe it can be reduced a bit.

@porndastreetz, make sure you're on version 1.53 and check if Truck Addon is placed after Better Raindrops in Mod Manager. Can't say what's the problem without log details.

@Tuğrab, there are issues on Mac with BC7 DDS textures used by Better Raindrops. BC7 is a most recent compression algorithm that provides better quality over older BC3 and BC1 versions. The downside is that not all systems/drivers support it at the moment (like Mac in your case), sorry
