This is an alternative to the bloom provided by wallpaper engine.

The main advantages of using this one are that it has more options, blend modes, you can use it on single layer and even mask out a part of the layer with the opacity mask.
The performace impact is roughly the same as the stock one (according to my readings, on my system).
Best when used in a post processing layer.

Main features:

• Blend modes and opacity mask.
  
• Highlights mask: paint which part of the layer should generate the glow.
  
• Tint property and RGB Highlights mask: tint the glow with adjustable colors.
  
• Aspect ratio adjustment for anamorphic lens.
  
• HDR support.
