Agreed, that would be an awesome mod - it handles exploring the map while keeping things reasonably lag-free using the map's search bar.

I found an outdated mod that apparently used to do this called Simple Faction Map: https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2035606493

It has a few potential bugs listed at the end that might be worth looking out for (or could just be user error/other mods).

Looking forward to that.
Especially the one that reveals the entire factions sectors.

I should be able to do that. I'm busy working on another mod atm, though, so I'll probably put that on the backburner.

+1 for Copper's request. Revealing the entire galaxy makes using the search bar lag horribly even on high-end systems. Maybe just an item that reveals the entirety of a single faction so we can pick and choose.

Request: Make a version that does the same, but in 3 separate items. Doing all 3 seems to eat up all my CPU can muster for nearly 2 hours...

Would also love one that reveals just a "small" area around the player, like maybe 25-50 sectors around the player.

There's not really a way to reveal rift space unfortunately.

It claims to "reveal E V E R Y T H I N G" But it does not mark/reveal Rift/space areas... So i'd say "almost everything"... Great mod otherwise.

I just wanted to know in case I needed the info.

Purple for server, red for client-got it! Though, I should also clarify something, the only mod-related problem I've had besides forgetting to override the galaxy's config is one mod that needs its allowed versions updated.
