Easy Faction Maps

This mod replaces the vanilla faction territory maps with cheaper versions that cover more area for less needed reputation. This means revealing an entire single faction (systems, stations, and details), even if they're neutral, with one quick visit to their equipment dock.

For players that only want to reveal a specific quadrant (Northeast, Southeast, Southwest, Northwest), use the uncommon (green) quality Easy Quadrant Map to do so.

Balance is considered "low", but not "cheat-y" in my opinion. The blue quality Easy Territory Map still costs a big chunk of credits to buy, just less than the vanilla exotic version.

1. Fly to any equipment dock.
   
2. Buy the map of your choice.
   
3. Press P to open your player menu and select the Inventory tab.
   
4. Right-click > Use the item
   
5. Open your galaxy map (M) to watch the magic.

This mod can be safely enabled/disabled at any time. If a player has an Easy Faction Map in their inventory while the mod is disabled, the functionality of the map will revert to its vanilla state (e.g. the green Easy Quadrant Map will function like the vanilla green Traveler's Quadrant Map).

Revealing too much of the map can start to cause lag over time as more and more sectors are added. This is especially noticeable when using the map's search function. It is recommended to only reveal factions on your path towards the center of the galaxy. This is a game issue, not a mod issue.

This mod modifies the following files:

• utilitymerchant.lua
  
• factionmapsegment.lua

If any other mods attempt to modify these files, some issues may occur.
