Description


Fixed Misc item deployment, crypto economy, job menu, FOB location checks.
Currently, the 2023 edition is some more small fixes (check GitHub on the non-p2p release). If I have time, I will implement player to player economy in the church-crypto market.

2023 Additions
  • Churches have a tech-priest to bank for your team. They also sort out relations via donations. Based on your player trade skill (d20), involves a certain time period in the 24-hour cycle in the game, if you dedicate an hour watching the market go up and down, you can profit a lot more than trading manually. The market cap should be determined by the stability and loyalty to the region from your activities.
  • Difficulty for fast travel is reduced, by making No Weapons and Drugs to only "No Weapons" but the hardest difficulty still includes "No weapons, Drugs, Armed Vehicles".

What is Overthrow 2021?
  • Original Overthrow gameplay loop
  • The Mostly Exploit/Bug free version of Overthrow,
  • Always Forward compatible (2019 => 2023 is OK)
  • Balanced and working in 2023
  • Your team vs NATO vs Anarchy Gangs on a persistent map with dynamic elements of control.
  • Asymmetrical warfare to guerrilla takeovers.
  • Requires ACE, CBA, and optionally compatible with RHS.
  • Mostly Feature complete (Work In Progress)
  • Personally I play/test on Tanoa with friends. While Other maps may work, expect slower support.
  • Open source on Github and in need of help[github.com]

What it isn't
  • NOT SIngle Player Intended! (Need friends or go solo on a server)
  • NOT A Complete overhaul
  • NOT Backward Compatible (2023 => 2019 is NOT OK!!)

Overthrow 2021 Features
  • Search warehouse/import lists with NAMEs instead of CLASS NAMES of gear/guns/etc
  • Drug trading is frequent and profitable to speed up earlier gameplay loops. Character stats will contribute to hiding from cops while selling, buying prices are much cheaper if you're skilled at trading and use your street smarts.
  • Bag Exploits fixed along with balancing the flatbed white truck. Bigger trucks haul more than smaller ones now.
  • All taxes go to the resistance fund as intended.
  • Lease tax are standardised to an automated algorithm to give new players freedom to make more money and give the richest old players a glass ceiling to avoid monopolising money. PS. Go read the wiki on github if you want to know more math.
  • House ownership is fluid and protected. They can be sold/bought without their owners being online if they exceed a limit, refunds are automated and spawn is still protected.
  • Info on your House count, cap, and leased homes will show whenever you buy/sell homes.
  • 2023 - Finalised crypto market via church priests, fixed misc item deployment. End game money/relation = Church.
  • And more Quality of LIfe features in the future...

Overthrow 2021 Fixes
  • "Bag" is no longer almost infinite carry weight at 1E6
  • Workshop should no longer explode - By Waterpig on steam
  • Standardised features of infinite truck carry capability to all big trucks only when using Y menu to carry loot.
  • Ace Arsenal, Garrison, recon fixed thanks to nifnat's build on github merges
  • Port harbour person should no longer run away under a firefight
  • Jobs work (seriously this time)
  • Blank ammo should no longer exist
  • Import and warehouses should no longer show invisible items with no name, picture, etc.,
  • Only one ACE_removeitem button will show when you want to remove vehicles now instead of 3.

Overthrow Development during 2021
I forked this from the original 2019 github version with a few changes sponged in by other variants of overthrow mainly to fix exploits (backpack/ and truck hopefully) and increase balance of active trading and actively building from asymmetric insurgency gameplay to a full grown ape, guerilla warfare takeover.

i cant withdraw cash from resistance in my save... community edition said the update to CBA and something else broked overthrow

There's a bug that if you sell drug to civilian or gang, once they agree to buy, player can remove their clothes and player will receive money but the drug will stay inside those clothes.

@sleeping paralysis bobcat, thank you for noting the mod interactions. I currently use the mod list in the collection "Overthrow for dummies". And I believe "3CB Factions" and their unholy alliance is something unaccounted for in this mod for now. I do not know how it functions. But I do appreciate your feedback for other users in the future!

@Jay, on job frequency, I do not have a good way to solve this. I do not recall exactly as it's been >2 years. I think I tried to make factions more reliable and the drug trade more profitable to balance out what to do before going into industries.

@76561198083019420, to anyone else having "Contact expansion" requirements, please let me know. I have it but didn't launch with it. So far the game didn't throw any full-screen ads about it. Only asset used via server was the AI i use as a priest that has a tinfoil hat and cigarette for aesthetics. But if that's limiting people playing the game, I'll swap it to a more normal uniform. The server I run this on is using an account without contact, and I don't launch with "Contact Expansion" currently in the 2023 May timeline.

@Vig lusta, regarding craftables, unfortunately, I have no more time to implement it. However, people are free to add/modify my code, it's all up on github up to the current day (2023).

@MrAlfred, old reply, but with FASTER (arma github server tool). It's easier to have preset running that way which includes headless launching.
