Description
If you're looking for the battle proven CV that can take down the Legacy Decimator & Infector, this is your ship!

This is the CS-Calibur, a T4 CPU Compliant Battle CV at 100% utilization. Total CPU usage is under 9.6M, so there is still some room for tweaks, should you choose.

Featuring 7 total container controllers capable of holding over 2.5M in volume, this ship is setup to handle all of your exploration & war-time needs!
- 2 Ammo Controllers maxed at 320k
- 2 Ammo Controllers at 120k
- 3 Container Controllers maxed at 320k
- 1 Container Controller at 288k
- 1 Ore & Wood Controller maxed at 320k

This ship is made purely from Combat Steel made to take on some of the toughest end-game ships. I've been outnumbered by Legacy ships many times, and this CV has come victorious every single time.

The front of this ship is well re-enforced with at least 3 layers of Combat Steel, protecting the inner components from splash damage. It also contains the maximum amount of allowed turrets (all retractable!), and they all focus on maximum damage (Rocket & Plasma turrets). Each turret level is stepped out further than the turret in front, enabling all turrets to have line of sight to any ship in front. This provides a huge firepower advantage over most ships! Additionally, since all turrets are either rocket or plasma, they do maximum damage to enemy shields & ships.

The interior of this ship is spacious, and includes all main features of an attack CV. It has plenty of interior docking space for your ships, plus a Captain's rooftop landing pad with quick access to the bridge.

Additionally, it contains the following:
- Easy access boarding ramp
- T2 Repair Bay
- 2 Advanced Constructors and 1 Small Constructor
- All Health Stations
- O2 Station
- Shower & Bathroom
- Armor Locker
- Teleporter
- 4 Passenger Seats
- Food Processor & Fridge

Hi Migdalin. Thanks for the feedback & glad to hear you are enjoying this ship. Yeah, that area could definitely be used for a farm, and in future versions of this ship I did utilize this space for that upgrade. However, I don’t like to put grow plots in combat ships by default, so I won’t include them in the BP. This could always be added after spawn though, if it’s helpful.

Awesome ship. I have been using Flatbird (https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2513362660) as a starter CV. This one is a perfect step up, with a nice tight focus on combat. I do wonder if the lounge area could be turned into a farm? Either way, this one is great. Thanks!

Thanks! For what it’s worth I’ve never seen an enemy ship warp out, but who knows what the future may bring! Glad you like the ship! I’m a bit partial to it, but really think it’s one of the best out there. Enjoy!

No that's perfect! Thanks! I literally was JUST watching your hammerhead video against the Dreadnaught, and you did mention there was no specific targeting done (but a comment there pointed out since there are so many generators on that ship, it's a good idea to not target them and the warp drive as well as you say. Supposedly if the ships take high damage they can run and warp out, but i've never seen it. Still. Now to take my spanking new Calibur to get that core! Hats off!

I likely did not set a targeting preset on this ship, so what you’re seeing, unfortunately, is expected. If it were saved, the BP would spawn with those settings.

What you target actually varies based on what you fight. For infectors, I set to target the turrets. For Decimators, I set to target the generators, while always staying in front of them.

If you fight a Kamirat Battlecarrier, I would set them to target turrets & thrusters.

I say that because presets won’t always work, as your strategy will change based on the enemy.

I will say, that I never target warp drives for any ship. Beyond that, you’ll likely need to change based on the enemy you face.

I hope that helps, and sorry there isn’t a clear answer on this one.

I am assuming that when you upload a ship to the workshop (and then us subsequently spawning it) the weapon targeting settings are *NOT* saved from when the BP was saved/uploaded? Watching the video, it's clear you have set weapon targeting a certain way to fight these legacy ships. This is something us noobs, who have never faced one...yet, would LOVE to have "preset" in the BP when we spawn it. Clearly I understand not wanting to impose ones own weapon targeting preferences to a workshop ship, but if it's possible, that would be very nice. ;-) if not, then might you lay out how these turrets were configured (if it's not too complicated, meaning if you had all the same turret types targeting the same way or break them up into groups to focus on different things for example). Thanks in advance!

BP updated to add MORE storage - 2 ammo controllers @ 120k each. Now total storage is over 2.5M (from 2.2M+).

I made a few tweaks today.

- Removed the T2 RCS
- Added additional fuel & O2 storage in wings
- Upgraded the 2 front thrusters from L to XL (due to RCS removal)
- Added WiFi extenders to the nose, and tip of each wing, for better reach

The Dreadnought has too many turrets to take down with a standard ship like this, as it has over 120 T2 turrets scattered on it. You'll need something bigger with more firepower. I did build a ship that can kill the Dreadnought, called Ono. It does require "Max Block Limits" to be set to False, to allow more turrets than the normal limit. This ship has 101 total turrets plus another 20 rocket launchers. Also have a video linked on the BP of me killing a Dreadnought :)
