Description
This mod that will bring family life to Mars with lots of features. New game is not a must as far as I can tell.

Current features:
Colonists form couples, new born children are assigned to them and families are considered when colonists migrate to different dome/residence.
Babies: new age group for colonist up to 2 sols old. Babies don't take up residence space and don't show up in game if they have living parents. When reaching the Child age group they will take residence with the parents.
New colonist stat: Affection. It increases when the the family lives together and decreases when they are appart, is also influenced by other family events and affects morale as the other stats. Very low affection may trigger partner separation and child abandon.
Nurseries change: now they are residences only for orphan or abandoned children and also a day care center for any child in order to allow single parents to work or both parents to work at the same time.
Migration trys, to some degree, to keep families together. It doesn't try very hard since otherwise the new stat would be pointless and always maxed, life on Mars is hard...families sometimes grow apart.
Martian Express and/or Bellow & Beiond are not needed but if present Trains, Elevators and Landers should account for families and babies.
LukeH's Base Addition mod is mandatory.

Here's hoping the author revisits this mod some day to address these bugs...
It sounds great and I am looking forward to trying this, but not enough to risk such issues.

To confirm, brand new game and every new colonist arriving has a wedding ring and child icon but no family in the colonist table. Decided not to continue to see if the other bugs are true, such as suffocating newborns. :-(

I really like the idea of this mod, but it does seem to have a couple bugs. The newborn are suffocating on my save as well.

Also everyone who is pinned to the taskbar has a symbol of a ring on the bottom left of their icon and a symbol of a child on the bottom right. I'm thinking the ring is supposed to symbolize they have a partner, and maybe the kid means they are taking care of a newborn? The problem is it shows the ring on all pinned colonist whether they have a partner or don't have a partner. The child icon shows on everyone as well whether they have a child or not.

put in filler domes along the route they walk so they don't go for a mars walk. Or make a breathable atmosphere.

i really enjoy this mod!! how do i keep the children dying from suffocating though? :/

Love the detail put into this mod! I experienced a glitch though, as soon as the first kid was born it died from suffocation even though there was plenty of oxygen in the dome.
