Description
Hold the Line, Soldier!

On their retreat through Western Europe axis forces destroyed every bridge behind them. This was supposed to slow down the enemy progress. Roermond was a small town in the Netherlands with good connection to the european railway network. Laying behind a canal, a swamp and a river it was the ideal place to gather forces and material. I don't know if this is historically true, but it is a nice story.

This map is a quick done proof of concept. One side has to repair 3 bridges before being able to fight for victory points. This team on the other hand also starts with high fuel and ammunition income. It's made for practicing defending against a superior power or attacking a highly digged in enemy.

This map is a little bit rushed. That's why it may lacks some details in some parts of the map.

As this is a very asymmetrical map it needs a lot of playtesting to be balanced. So please tell me about your experiences. As a quick fix if it's to hard or to easy: set the tickets higher or lower than standard.

The frontline bunkers near the river are there to prevent the AI from an early invasion to the fuel points. somehow the AI always tries to get over the river. If you have a better solution for this problem: please tell me.

I'm still thinking about if and how I should make it easier for the defending side to fight the enemy once the river is crossed and two VC Points got captured. Please send me your suggestions in the comments.

What about something more akin to campaign ability : Free squad of infantry call-in. Every faction with different squad:
Wehr : Osttruppen
Soviets: Conscripts
USF: Rear Echeleon squad
OKW : Volksgrenadiers
Brits : AT infantry sections

@Haze Yeah, that is a good idea. I could also give the defenders free tanks when they fall under a certain ticket score. Saddly I don't realy know anything about scripting in CoH 2. But I'm working on a scenario at the moment for which I have to learn a lot of CoH 2 scripting, so I might gonna patch this.

" Maybe script that gives you free suppresing artillery barrage ability with medium reload time (2 mins or so) when they get captured? Or incendary barrage that automaticaly falls on VP's when they get captured instead?
