LIGHT FRIGATE MEDICAL (LFM)

The Mercy class light frigates have saved lives from every corner of the star system and beyond. Totally weaponless they have been known to enter the most contested parsecs of space to deliver much needed relief.

Too often those factions involved in conflict overlook the populus caught in the middle. Mercy can transport ten in cryogenic stasis from disaster site to medical station. Equiped with multiple medical bays and even an operating room the class has served to deliver hope to those in need.

These ships have no weapon systems. It is understood that an attack carried out on any Mercy vessel would result in swift and devestating retaliation. No Mercy Class Frigate has ever been lost, and only one attacked. The resulting military action was dubbed the "One to war!"

Shortly after escaping an ambush LFM Comfort reported the attack to Fleet Command. All available ships were redeployed between a two AU radius. Inteligence was able to locate the members of the pirate clan responsible. No distinction was made between aggressor and harborer. Twelve hardened pirate installations were obliterated within the frist three hours of military action. To stem the destruction the Pirate clans themselves excuted those responsible.
