Endless thanks to GOG for making Total annihilation free to own way back in 2020 cause even now 3 years later it's my NO:1 RTS hyperfixation, and probably always will be for the rest of my life however long i may be around for. it's got a crazy amount of depth and was properly ahead of it's time even when stacked up against it's peers from the same decade at the ass end of the 20th century.

With features such as 3 dimensional real time simulated projectiles physics for every individual rocket or energy shot fired and terrain variation that makes holding down a sheltered spot in say a valley surrounded by high rise mountains or a massive metallic fortress surrounded by walled with few proper entrances for ground units to assault you with on a CORE prime themed map worth it so your factories don't get artie'd by the opposing players cleverly placed big bertha cannons that have coverage over the entire map.

On top of that TotalA also has a simplified yet cleverly handled resource management system where metal and energy for your storage buildings can be pulled from even unconventional sources such as smashed up KBOT's (either yours or the enemies so waste not want not). or environmental terrain objects meaning there's never a single downtime moment to speak of and even your meager engineers will always be working to reclaim vital materials from defeated units in order to keep the production queue's running smoothly and your economy income from dropping into the red.

Total annihilation is a must for every real time strategy nut out there. Especially if you want something more tuned towards macro management scale aggression oriented gameplay like the first Dawn of war and it's various standalone expansions, To top all of this off if any part of my long winded review essay above caught your attention and had any readers going for that "add to cart" option then best of luck to all the new commanders out there as you are in for a hell of unique RTS experience that'll get you hooked like no other and i'm looking forward to potentially seeing some other new names out there in the wild during online play

also be sure to frequent to the relevant community website for the game for all the mods and utility files you could ever really need here >>https://www.tauniverse.com/<<

Black mesa is a different beast from 1990's hl1 and that review is mostly bias anyway because I don't vibe as much with hl1's super scripted progression compared to more free-form 90's fps

Hey! I saw your HL1 review and couldn't help but think, if vanilla game and the expansions are awful, then why does Black Mesa (the game based off of it) have such a positive reputation?
