This game changed my outlook on life for the better, and all but confirmed my dream of becoming a forensic pathologist. Easily one of the most poignant pieces of media I have ever had the privilege to consume. 1000/10. My only wish is that I could wipe my memory so that I could experience it again for the first time.

Spiritfarer is a truly special game that has captured my heart in ways I didn’t expect. It’s a cozy management game with a deeply emotional core, where you play as Stella, a ferrymaster guiding spirits to the afterlife. The concept of death might sound heavy, but the game beautifully handles themes of loss, friendship, and the art of saying goodbye.

The gameplay is a perfect balance of relaxing activities like farming, fishing, and crafting, all while building and upgrading your boat. The true magic, though, is in the relationships you build with the spirits. Each one has their own story, quirks, and needs, and taking care of them feels like building lasting, meaningful connections. The cooperative play with Daffodil the cat adds an extra layer of fun and warmth, making it a perfect game to play with a friend or loved one.

What I love most is how the game makes you reflect on life, love, and loss in a gentle and heartfelt way. The Farewell Edition is the ultimate version, with all the extra content making the experience even richer. The music, the art, the story—it all comes together in such a beautiful way. Spiritfarer isn’t just a game; it’s an experience, one that stays with you long after you finish it.

interestingly boring. There are some short animations -- harvesting, paddling, watering, and etc. -- are quite long... The playing fps could be slightly shorter to improve overall game flow. If I had to repeat any of those animations above over twice, I would like to have an option to speed it up.
I thought the story would be amazing... However, when I have 2+ characters on the ship + other commitments, I literally couldn't throw myself into those stories at all... Def not my type of tea. If you like games such as Stardrew Vally, give it a try. Otherwise, don't buy.
