I don't know what else I could add to the Halo discussion, but yeah. If we were to flame each other over a video game, then what's the point of a discussion in the first place, right? Criticism and difference of opinion is welcome on my reviews, so long as it's civil.

Regardless, your feelings about the games are totally valid. If it doesn't click with you, it doesn't click with you, and there's nothing wrong with that, and likely nothing will change that (although I would recommend watching people play on Legendary as it might help you understand how to approach combat scenarios a bit better and how enemies and weapons are designed to interact). The only real problem I had was that it seemed like you were being dismissive of those who enjoy it, but you've cleared that up, "I don't mean to flame those who enjoy Halo and think it's one of the best shooters of all time, they by all means can continue to do so,"

I appreciate you taking my comment the way it was intended. Tone is difficult to interpret over the internet and so it's easy for people to get overly defensive about things, which you haven't done :)

@forsanxl It's interesting you say "confusing". I think that nails it. I got that impression while reading your reviews: a misunderstanding of the way the game's mechanics interact and combine to make it unique and innovative. Again, I'm not trying to come off like a prick, but even the complaints that it's lacking certain game mechanics such as sprinting and zooming for all weapons telsl me that you simply don't understand the gameplay as they would all negatively impact it and would be counter-intuitive to what it's trying to do. It doesn't fall quite under either umbrella - the modern military shooter or the classic, and so you find it difficult to grasp. I'm not belittling you or insulting you. For a new player, I can totally understand why the gameplay would be confusing, but I am a bit surprised that after playing through the series that you didn't get the hang of it and realise what it's trying to do.

@mossfan1, not sure why civil discussion is funny to you. Maybe you're not mature enough to understand this, but some of us are capable of having differing opinions about things without it being hostile.
