For the love of god, don't buy this game; it's not a game, it's a curse.

Sure, it starts out innocent. A couple of transport belts here, a robotic arm there. Oh, what's that? I can unlock more things to build, you say? Sure, why not? All I have to do is connect these miner thingies to a furnace array, then sort the metal output to a couple assembler factories and put the results on a train to go to another assembler factory, where the product will be taxied by drone to my rocket silo so that the resulting white stuff can be transported to my research facility and voila, my automatic missile-shooting train can now shoot 12% farther.

Suddenly, it's daylight. That 12 hours between shifts you were supposed to spend eating and sleeping to keep yourself well nourished was instead used to play this "game". You reluctantly get in your car and go to work. Your colleagues say they're gonna hit the bar later and ask you to join. But alas, you tell them you've got to stay late to finish up this couple of assignments. In reality, however, there are no more assignments-- no, there is only Factorio.

You get home in a fit of panic, desperate for your fix. It's been invading your brain the whole driver, thinking about how to optimize your main bus split-offs, making deadlock-proof junctions for the copper transport rail system. You get a text from this girl you started seeing. Asks if she can come over. Exasperated, you pause your game, only for a minute, so you can come up with a lie about taking night classes at a community college 5 nights a week for the next two years. She says it's cool, goes out to a bar alone, where she hooks up with one of your colleagues.

Weeks go by. Months. You've lost complete track of time. You've taken off of work for the past three weeks citing some sort of infectious disease. You can't remember the last time you left the house, even your computer. But alas, the day has come. Your steadfast dedication and unwavering determination have finally paid off. The inhabitant's of this alien world have almost gotten in, almost destroyed all your hard work on so many occasions. But alas, their efforts were for not as their noble warriors lay by the hundreds, no, the thousands, at the foot of your base-- your megabase. You have finally done it. You are now launching 60 rockets every second, science coursing through your veins by the hundreds of thousands. You control everything. Not a tree stands on this red planet you can now call yours. You exit the game, reminiscing over all the good times you had in that base as you watch the replay with teary eyes. Then, back on the main menu, you slowly move your mouse towards the bottom to exit this "game" and return to the real world.

Suddenly, something catches your eye. That button. You never really paid attention to it before. How could you have missed it in your zombie haze? What's this? This game... has mods?
