There are a lot of Lovecraft games. Not many have the right combination of both RPG and character types. Stygian has both those blocks checked. Engaging story which ties into the many pieces that make up the Lovecraftian universe. What is most engaging is the characters you can pick with their sub-categories.

Every skill has a use and every archetype has some unique path ways.

Like a true Lovecraft tale - your character will lose his or her mind. You can't stop it, but your choices may delay the inevitable.


PROs:
-Great story
-Memorable characters
-Real role playing elements.
-The Developers listen to feed back and reply

CONs
-Some would argue this game is short, that is true
-Still some deal breaking bugs since many of the achievements are wonky at the time of this review


In all a great game with a good development team. Give it a chance and I promise you the authentic Lovecraftian experience is well worth it.
