The Ragnarok PC release is a port of Ragnaroks current state on PS5 (maybe PS4 too I don't have that version) - the only technical difference as far as content is that the PC version includes upscaling by either DLSS, FSR, or XLSS. And it actually renders at native 4K, flawlessly, so there's no need to use the up-scaling if you're running an RTX4090. The game hands down looks better on PC than it ever did on PS5. Other than the graphics, there's now an option to turn down puzzle hints, which were notoriously ridiculous on PS5 to the point where you literally didn't get a chance to even look around the room before an NPC forced you to look at the answer.

One major change, the only major change over the previous game, is that you no longer just blindly earn skills by spending XP to unlock them. Skills have"mastery" challenges to familiarize yourself with those moves that allow you to add runes which can make that move and your combat overall more effective - for instance you can add runs that increase elemental damage, momentum, damage, etc. All the mechanics from the previous game are returned too like runic attacks and amulets, including the best amulet power - realm shift. The combat is liek the previous game but refined to its best form.

Sony announced months before release - months before Tsuhima even released - that all future PS games on PC would require PSN sign-ins. Yet people continue to review bomb the game or even worse, buy the game on purpose knowing they can't play it in their region, just to review bomb it and refund it. There aren't really two sides to this story - Sony should not be requring PSN sign-ins, especially for single player only games like Ragnarok. Tsushima at least has a multiplayer component which could justify it, but the reality is the PSN sign-in only exists so you can earn PSN trophies. For people who already played the game on console, it's pointless because you're not going to earn duplicate trophies. I mean, maybe you could cheat if you never were able to get all the Valhalla tropihes. I never bothered to play Valhalla before they announced the PC port so I don't know.

All that said, Ragnarok expands the world and lore from God of War 7 now that the world is familiar, revisiting old locations and old game mechanics but with new twists. Travellers and valkyrie are back in a new way, for example. You now get to play as Atreus and Freya at times, too. The game also dives a bit deeper into the story of Faye, who was dead before the previous game even started.

It's a stunningly gorgeous game with an improved combat system over 2018, and a lot less grinding. It's not the pinnacle of gaming, but it's definitely worth experiencing all of the content in the game. Christopher Judge, Deborah Ann Woll, Brett Dalton, Ryan Hurst and the rest of the cast give great performances in one of the better stories in the God of War franchise and the gameplay is highly refined since the last game.

Hey there, I'd like to ask you something, how do you feel about demos and prologues? would you like to become an admin in a new group for demos and also free games? If you want to talk about it, there is a picture (My Screenshots) of the game ODDADA with a cassette and demo written on it, we can exchange ideas there in the comments, if you want.
And, there is also a link to the group ;)

lmao. Sometimes you gotta admit what you can't/won't do. Some of them are legit like if you load a save from before it had achievements but yea, if I'd played a game already, I'm probbaly gonna unlock the ones I already have. Unless it's a good game like Tsushima, I'll plat that again.
