Steam Deck

The ability to just play your entire steam library (well, most of them) anywhere is just so cool. I've always wanted a handheld like this
And with great value too!? Take my money.

Many month after using the deck, it's the best handheld I've ever owned, but it's not perfect.
The buttons, analog stick and trackpad all feels great, though using the trackpad as mouse needs time to get used to, the back buttons is also a nice addition.

Battery life is quite decent in my experience, got around 5-7 hours of playtime playing indie games, around 2 hours on AAA games like Elden Ring and RE2.
For advanced user, you can tweak the deck setting by pressing the ... button you can set the refresh rate, set GPU clock and CPU hz. etc to get more performance and save battery.

The deck screen resolution is 800p, which is fine for a 7 inch screen. The color can get pretty washed out, it's not that bad but you can improve it by using VibrantDeck to increase the saturation a tiny bit. Still not good as an OLED panel though.
The sounds coming from the speakers is quite loud and clear which surprise me, better than I expected.

All that said, I love the steam deck and will be using it more to get through my backlog.

Got an OLED deck now and it's what the steam deck should have been at release.
Improved pretty much everything from the original. Bigger battery, better screen, ram speed, buttons, haptics, speakers and somehow even lighter in weight.
Definitely get the OLED one if you're planning to buy the deck.
