Not only did they not include an FOV slider to increase the default motion sickness inducing low field of view, but they went out of their way to add an anti-tamper program to brick your game for using an FOV mod....IN A 100% SINGLE PLAYER GAME.

For the $11.99 I paid with the free season 1 DLC its a very good game to chill and kill zombies. For 49.99? No chance in heck.


Edit: after 40 more hours, this game is actually pretty great lol.

I hated the first few hours, but it comes around. It has the same issue as dying light 1 where the game takes way too long to feel fun because so much of the basics of the parkour and combat are hidden behind unlocks and leveling. Recommended on sale and if you have already beaten the first game (not for story purposes, its just a better and cheaper game.)

I genuinely don't understand the amount of negative reviews, I can only assume its because people go in thinking it is a linear hack and slash or a skyrim type RPG. This is a very interesting game about being a diplomat for a Trading nation as your nation settles in a new colony. There are many continental (Euro) powers and then various factions of native tribes all with their own goals, rivalries and relationships with one another. Your goal is to settle disputes and secure your nations success whether that be through peaceful dialog or just killing everybody and you can't please every faction.

It can be a little rough around the edges at times, but nothing that noticable. I'll take a flawed game with some actual creativity and soul over so many of these generic AAA games that have perfected the art of bland inoffensive drivel.

Gunplay and movement are very fluid and well done. Game is very fast hard oldschool arcade style, but fair.

Went in fresh with no nostalgia. Its like a mix of Monster Hunter and Dynasty Warrior. The story is basically non-existent but the gameplay is very fun and simple yet potentially deep. The only tip players need to know is to look up how to get and return the golden idol so the shop has more weapons.

Pretty competently put together game. Definitely doesn't seem like Early Access. Could use a few more maps though.
