not as good as the the resident evil 2 remake but it's still good dumb fun

game has a real case of the xbox 360 browns but it still holds up over a decade later

a resonant story told entirely through level design and environmental clues, the music goes really hard, and it's impossible to take a bad photo. fantastic game.

enjoyed my time with it, and it's easily the most accessible game arkane's made yet. exploring levels, finding clues, and pulling on the various threads to unravel the mystery is pretty compelling stuff. it's just a shame the story never really makes good on its premise, often feeling like a bunch of disparate elements mashed together into a single game. and it doesn't so much end as it just kinda stops. wish the weapons were more interesting, too. still, the act of setting up dominoes so you can knock them all down in a single run is a cool concept, just wish the payoff was more satisfying.

solid metroidvania with fantastic pixel art

an interactive movie told through a series of arcade games featuring beautiful pixel art and a killer soundtrack. can't wait to see the next installment.

short and a bit rough but the slick art and dark vibes make it worth checking out. i'd love to see a much larger, fleshed out game in this world.
