So, this is a new account for me as my old one had been rendered FUBAR (thanks Valve). Anyway, previously I had around 2,000 hours in Arma 3. I had been around pre-Helicopters DLC. I remember how broken bipods were just after the release of the Marksman DLC.

Anyways, back on point. Arma has been a great series for me personally. It certainly has the staying power, as here we are five years after beta and still going strong with more DLC to come. The community isn't totally toxic, the Tac-Ops DLC provided a nice refesh for those who like single-player. And Tanks is on the horizon.

And speaking of the community, I got to touch on multiplayer.
Like co-op? Apex Protocol campaign has got you covered.
Like mildly competetive cluster-♥♥♥♥♥? King Of The Hill will provide.
Want to RP, whilst robbing the federal reserve and selling drugs to gain money to start a revolution? Try a Life server.
Arrive late to the DayZ party and stadalone is to broken for you? Exile mod + Zombies.

Now to mention the mods, there are literally mods for ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ everything.
Want ultra-realistic everything? ACE3 and ACRE are for you?
Want to re-enact some random firefight from your time in Iraq? Fallujah map, along with RHS.
Want to drive a fancy supercar? Pick one of many mods that introduce them into the game?

Arma 3 has more content than can probably ever be played. And more just keeps pouring in.

I've played it a bit, it's a fun game, the only exception being the eternal Cyrodiil lagfest event.
