Be advised that those tables are REALLY easy and there are chances that if you're used to the other Zen tables, you'll get to the wizard mode on the first ball or so. That also means playtime will easily go through the roof for a single play.

For these reasons alone I can't picture myself playing those tables much too often.

Table-wise, this is a pair of well done and pretty usual Zen tables. Nothing really surprising here - and not being surprised starts to get boring after 60 tables or so. But well, maybe that's just me.

Really, I wanted to like this, right from the start. I've been waiting for a commercial effort for years - I've been playing VisualPinball since, huh, forever now.

Some years ago, I built a custom Pincab to be able to bring virtual pinball to the next level (using Visual Pinball as a platform of choice). I am sad to say, Pinball Arcade never managed to patch in any kind of satifying pincab support after all these years, which is kind of sad.

As for the game itself, I never managed to like the engine, the machines recreated rarely succeed in playing the same way their original counterpart did (I played most of them extensively in my material world) with a rare few exceptions.
Graphically the game is sub-par and very inconsistant between tables (some are plain ugly, some are really well done). I saw there was a DX11 update, but I had mixed success on playing it on my Pincab.

In-game camera placement is aweful when using a vertically oriented monitor and you've got to choose between unatural deep perspective and not-so-top down camera with missing flippers. Really ?

Regarding physical aspect of the game, I can't say it's bad, but it's not feeling like I'm playing a simulation either. I still prefer latest Visual Pinball's physics over this.

So mixed feelings - buying this is up to you, especially if you're playing on a pincab.

Grabbed this one for 12$ in a bundle and wanted to testify it is still guenuinely addictive - the same way the originals were - while the solo campaigns are a bit short.

Don't expect this 'remastered' version to be as fancy as next-gen RTS graphically speaking though. Still it is pretty effective as far as a space game goes.

One of the greatest reboot out there, ever. I can't imagine anyone interested in tactical turn based missed this, but if you did, grab it in a sale and/or bundle and enjoy, alongside its great expansion. Yeah right, the expansion is pretty awesome as well !

Consider Desktop Dungeons for what it is : a pretty addictive puzzle game and NOT your typical dungeon crawler. Be prepare to think, to calculate moves and bonuses, to forget about time spent in the game, all that with a factor of error bringing you to neglect your sleep time.

Throw away your fancy next-gen GPU and go kill some goats.
