Mostly on Classic difficulty, not bothering with Impossible. Ironman because I'm a masochist like that. I legitimately can't count how many times I've restarted. And it's always very, very early, furthest I've ever hit is the first armor / weapon upgrades before getting wiped by terror missions. It feels like if you don't perfectly train up a decent squad right at the start, the game scales away from you so rapidly that you're just done.
