A simple Visual Novel with a straightforward, cute, and very enjoyable story. The artwork is incredibly charming. There were a few moments when it became a bit boring, but it picked up again later on. Many scenes made me smile, and, to be honest, I really had a good time throughout most of the playthrough. I can't say I'm super impressed by this visual novel, but it's not weak either. On the contrary, it's a short yet decent experience. It's a shame that it's almost entirely kinetic (without interactions/choices).

The story seemed intriguing at first, until things started to go haywire and everything lost its coherence. It appeared overly rushed, with poorly structured characters. I could delve into specifics and compile a substantial list of parts that simply made me facepalm repeatedly, but I'd rather steer clear of spoilers, and truth be told, I lack the inclination to undertake such an endeavor. The OST didn't impress me, and the artwork wasn't to my liking either. As for the voice acting, it came across as remarkably feeble, occasionally even comical. I comprehend the commendable aspect of this free visual novel having voice acting, but it's all in vain if the quality is so demeaning. Perhaps "demeaning" is a tad exaggerated, but I find it utterly implausible to take the narrative of a visual novel seriously if the voice acting falls flat. Nevertheless, there's a segment within a particular route that I enjoyed and found tolerable, including the presented ending. Yet, that portion of the route constitutes about 30% of the story. Can I truly recommend a game for just 30% of it?

For achievement hunters: the game offers 25 achievements. I can't say for sure how difficult they are, but given that this is a Visual Novel, it's unlikely to be too challenging. I plan to come back and complete this game at a later date and will edit the review.

Everlasting Summer holds the honor of being my very first visual novel, and it had me hooked from start to finish. The story's allure was so potent that even after completing it, I spent an entire night delving into internet forums, reading about theories and hypotheses surrounding the captivating narrative.

One aspect that truly impressed me was the meticulously crafted characters. Each one felt alive, brimming with depth and personality. The well-written and enigmatic storyline kept me on the edge of my seat, craving to unravel its mysteries.

However, I did encounter a minor gripe with the DLC aspect. To fully grasp the game's entirety, experiencing all the various endings is necessary. While I appreciated the additional content, it felt slightly demanding to unlock the complete narrative.

Moreover, it's essential to mention the uncensoring patch, a must-install for an optimal experience. The game on Steam comes censored, but with the patch, you gain access to unfiltered content, albeit intended for mature audiences (18+). The uncensoring patch adds valuable game content, enhancing the overall storyline and character development.

For achievement hunters: the game offers 14 achievements. I can't say for sure how difficult they are, but given that this is a Visual Novel, it's unlikely to be too challenging. I plan to come back and complete this game at a later date and will edit the review.

In conclusion, Everlasting Summer holds a special place in my heart as my introduction to the world of visual novels. Its enthralling characters and well-crafted, mysterious plot left a lasting impression on me. While navigating through various endings may feel demanding, the journey is well worth it to uncover the game's true essence. Just remember to apply the uncensoring patch to fully appreciate the depth of the narrative and character interactions.

Dota 2, to me, stands as the best, most complex, addicting, rewarding, and polished MOBA out there. However, my relationship with the game has been tumultuous due to its community, prompting me to quit in 2014-2015 (after Techies' hero launch). Recently, in 2022, I decided to give it another shot and returned to the battlefield, totaling around 4k hours across my accounts.

The game itself is a masterpiece, boasting intricate mechanics and well-crafted gameplay. Yet, it is plagued by one significant drawback—the Dota 2 community. Within its player base, you'll find individuals who refuse to communicate in English, spammers, and those who feed intentionally due to petty disagreements about lane assignments. Toxicity is a common occurrence, particularly in unranked matches, although ranked play varies depending on your rank.

Before diving into Dota 2, it's crucial to consider this aspect of the community. However, if you can endure the toxic encounters, you'll discover a game that truly shines with its skill-dependent gameplay. Mastering Dota 2 takes time and dedication, and new players will likely feel overwhelmed by the vast amount of knowledge to absorb. Yet, with perseverance, you'll grasp the intricacies and improve over time.

One of the game's standout features is its excellent free-to-play business model. All gameplay content, including heroes, modes, and the arcade, is accessible for free. However, Dota 2 monetizes through cosmetics and battle passes, which offer a plethora of cosmetics and rewards earned through grinding. It's important to exercise caution here; while cosmetics add a nice touch to the game, excessive spending on them can quickly escalate. To get the most value for your money, consider purchasing cosmetics from the marketplace rather than opening chests.

One particular feature that I find bothersome is the Dota Plus subscription. While it offers some helpful in-game suggestions, it veers into the territory of pay-to-win elements, which detracts from the game's competitive integrity. Moreover, they lock player progression behind the subscription, limiting heroes' progression to level 5 for non-subscribers. Progression is a fundamental aspect of gaming, and gating it behind a subscription is an unnecessary inconvenience.

Despite these drawbacks, Dota 2 remains an exceptional game at its core, offering an unparalleled MOBA experience. Just be prepared to face the challenges presented by its community, and you'll find a deeply rewarding and engaging gaming journey ahead.

When I first laid eyes on this game, I was genuinely intrigued. But my excitement was short-lived, all thanks to a painfully apparent issue – the downright shoddy translation from what I assume is an Asian language to English. I mean, seriously? It's like they used a broken translator and hoped for the best.

As for the gameplay, it starts off with a bang but quickly fizzles into repetition central. The story? Oh, it moves forward alright, as if on autopilot, while I'm stuck there mashing the left mouse button like it owes me money. The anticipation for something exciting is real – you know, the kind that might involve a bit of, shall we say, eye candy. And here's the kicker: you better have that patch installed, or you're out of luck. Yeah, they went and did a censorship dance post-launch. Talk about a buzzkill.

But let's not kid ourselves. Even if you get your hands on that patch, the game's flaws are harder to ignore than a flashing neon sign. The post-censorship version still feels like a letdown. It's as if the universe decided, "Nah, I won't let you have nice things."

I can't believe I spent time on this game. Seriously, it's like I'm questioning all my life choices right now. And don't even get me started on earning all those achievements on Steam. The things I do for virtual trophies – it's a shame, really.

For achievement hunters: I don't recommend attempting to complete this game. There are 32 achievements in total, with little information and description provided on what one must do. Some of them are related to events, and one, in particular, was quite frustrating for me. I couldn't get the required event to happen, and it occurred randomly out of nowhere. So, I suggest not trying to complete this one.

To sum it up, "Super Star" had me at the beginning, lost me somewhere in the middle, and left me shaking my head by the end. The horrendous translation, the rinse-and-repeat gameplay, and the bizarre pacing just don't add up to a recommendation from me. If anything, I'd rather save you the trouble and suggest you look elsewhere for some gaming satisfaction.

There's a remastered version available now, together with all the other games in the series, The Walking Dead: The Telltale Definitive Series, which is superior to the original game in terms of visuals and overall presentation. The remaster does a great job of bringing the game up to today's standards, although the original game still holds up well in terms of graphics. I highly suggest you consider playing the remaster because it is superior. Since I don't own it on Steam, I couldn't review it here, but I've shared my thoughts of the remaster on Metacritic, which you can check out on my profile[www.metacritic.com] if you're interested.

"The Walking Dead: The Telltale Series - A New Frontier" serves as the third game/season in the Telltale The Walking Dead games series. I have a mixture of positive and negative feelings about this game, and unlike most of my reviews, I'll begin with the positive aspects.

What this game excels at is its customary Telltale formula: a fantastic cinematic experience, compelling storytelling, engaging dialogue choices, and more. The graphics have also seen improvements, although the new artwork is debatable and subjective. While I appreciate it, I don't find it as appealing as the older style. The way the story unfolds, though not as impressive as its predecessors, is still commendable, and the storytelling approach is strong. Overall, it delivers a satisfying Telltale The Walking Dead experience, with both highs and lows.

Where it falters is its incorporation of significantly less exploration and character control gameplay compared to previous titles. The episodes are shorter, and Clementine's screen time is limited. The primary allure of these series lies in Clementine, and sidelining her is a significant misstep. Assigning her a supporting role is acceptable, but not positioning her as the second or even arguably the third lead is a regrettable choice. Throughout this season, I struggled to establish strong connections with numerous characters, aside from Clem and Javi. Let me clarify that I don't view the character ensemble in this game as poor, but their development pales in comparison to their predecessors. This is evident in my anticipation for the next Clementine memory scenes, which depicted events between seasons, over the actual unfolding story.

For achievement hunters: the game features 30 achievements, none of which are missable. You can obtain all of them simply by beating the game.

All things considered, this third installment in the series (excluding Michonne) emerges as the weakest link, yet it remains a commendable The Walking Dead Telltale Game in my honest opinion, albeit with some rough edges. Better decisions could have elevated its quality significantly.

"The Walking Dead: Michonne - A Telltale Miniseries" proves to be a disappointment as it comes across as rushed, and worst TWD experience in the series so far. In contrast to the other games in the series, it is noticeably shorter although it comes with a high price tag.

The game introduces characters, only to swiftly remove them through various means. Unfortunately, the character development is lacking, leaving Michonne's character feeling rather uninteresting, to be honest.

Unlike the first two games in the series, "Michonne" doesn't offer a branching narrative that can completely alter the course of the entire game. Although choices do hold significance to some extent, they alter the narrative's presentation while retaining the core concept. Certain choices hold more enduring consequences, while others bear only fleeting impacts. The notable difference here is that many decisions in this installment felt uninspiring. However, this sentiment could largely stem from my lack of attachment to any character throughout my playthrough.

Coming off the emotional engagement of the first two games, I found myself let down by the absence of any emotional connection in "Michonne." The characters and scenes failed to evoke little to any feelings within me. Additionally, the gameplay diverges from its predecessors by heavily relying on Quick-Time events and action-oriented sequences, which, in my opinion, isn't bad, but needs a balance, with a bit more exploration and character control, as a The Walking Dead title.

Nonetheless, it's important to remember that this is a spin-off, unrelated to the other titles in the series except for its shared universe. Playing "Michonne" isn't essential to comprehending the other two "The Walking Dead" games in the series. Evidently tailored for fans of the comic books who have a deep affinity for Michonne, the game seems geared toward an audience that may prioritize the character's story over its overall quality.

I will recommend you this for the usual Telltale dialogue-choices + cinematic storytelling gameplay. But play the game without high expectations. It is a short experience, and not expecting the same TWD quality will soften the blow.

For achievement hunters: the game features 21 achievements, none of which are missable. You can obtain all of them simply by beating the game.

There is one aspect that stood out to me in this game—the intro. It's remarkably well-executed, and I genuinely hope that future titles adopt similar intros.

"400 Days," the DLC for "The Walking Dead: A Telltale Games Series," functions as a bridge connecting the first and second games, reminiscent of a prologue. It presents various stories that you shape through your choices – a brilliant concept that I truly enjoyed, despite finding it a bit brief.

The choices made here carry into the second game, potentially influencing which characters appear. The gameplay mirrors that of the original game, delivering the same captivating experience – the usual awesome stuff.

The Walking Dead: A Telltale Games Series - Season Two is an amazing experience, and there's even a remastered version available now, together with all the other games in the series, The Walking Dead: The Telltale Definitive Series, which is superior to the original game in terms of visuals and overall presentation. The remaster does a great job of bringing the game up to today's standards, although the original game still holds up well in terms of graphics. A great sequel to a masterpiece game, although I must admit it is weaker compared to the first installment. The episodes are shorter, the gameplay simplified, puzzles almost nonexistent, fewer interactive elements, diminished hubs, reduced character development, less exploration, and limited character control. Nevertheless, it does not lack significantly in terms of its storytelling. It boasts improved graphics, animations, artwork, and a plethora of dialogue choices. Additionally, there's an increase in Quick-Time Events, which are better executed.

The story truly serves as a continuation of the first game, incorporating choices from its predecessor and its DLC. While these choices have a presence here, their impact is relatively minor, affecting only a few scenes and dialogues. Nevertheless, it's satisfying to realize that your actions in the first game held meaning.

Similar to its precursor, this installment doesn't offer a radically branching narrative that entirely reshapes the entire game. Although choices do hold importance, they are limited to a certain extent. They influence how the story unfolds, yet the core essence remains consistent. Certain decisions have greater long-term repercussions, while others bear fleeting consequences. Determining which is which can be uncertain. The choices have the potential to alter character dynamics, interactions, and even scenes, with enduring consequences. Despite this, some aspects of the narrative remain constant, showcasing the game's intricacy. While I can't definitively say if the choices are improved in this iteration, I'm thoroughly content.

In contrast to the first game where you controlled Lee and cared for Clementine, in this game, you form a bond with a different individual. Personally, I grew deeply attached to this character. I found myself making choices and dialogue selections aimed at maintaining a positive relationship and avoiding discord. My primary goal was to foster a strong connection between Clem and this character.

While it's true that this game falls short of its predecessor, it has its own merits. It evokes feelings of sadness and sorrow, although not to the same extent as the first game.

A notable surprise this game offers, which the first didn't, is the presence of multiple endings. With four completely distinct conclusions, it surpasses the single ending of the first game (though that sole ending was exceptionally well-crafted).

For achievement hunters: the game features 40 achievements, none of which are missable. You can obtain all of them simply by beating the game.

"The Walking Dead: Season Two" managed to live up to my expectations. And just to make myself understood what I mean with being "weaker": if this game is 10/10 (and it is), then the first is 11/10.

The story in this game is a part of the comic books "The Walking Dead," but you don't really need to know anything about them. You don't even need to be a great gamer to fully experience this. This game is so well-crafted that anybody can enjoy it.

By far, this has been the best gaming experience I've had. I never thought it would be possible to feel something like this in a video game. The character interactions, exploration, puzzles, dialogues, and choices – everything is amazing. I cared deeply about each character in the story, and they all left their mark, whether positive or negative. I eagerly anticipated what would happen next at every moment, and I never experienced a second of boredom. Truly astounding.

I did realize that this isn't the type of game with completely divergent routes altering the entire experience from A to Z. The choices do matter, but to a certain extent. They alter the story's delivery, while the core remains intact. This doesn't bother me, honestly. Some choices hold greater long-term weight, while others have more transient impacts. You can never be sure which is which. These choices can reshape characters, how they engage with you, even certain scenes. Consequences are present – don't forget that. They might not lead you on a wholly distinct path, transitioning from zombies to aliens, but they are significant, believe me. However, certain elements will always persist, yet the game's craftsmanship ensures you'll never predict which.

For achievement hunters: the game offers 48 achievements, with the majority of them attainable simply by completing the game. This game falls into the 'easy-peasy' category for achievement hunting, so go for it.

It's a unique experience that will remain indelibly etched in your memory, defying comparison with anything else. It thrives as a video game, where you assume control of characters and engage with others. Honestly, I'm not quite sure what Telltale did with this game that made me love it so profoundly, but they certainly achieved it. For real, I even shed tears at the end, and I have no qualms admitting it. The emotions I felt for Lee and Clem in this game, surpass anything I've experienced for characters in other stories.

Do yourself a favor and play this, regardless of your gaming inclination. Basic English language knowledge is all you need.
