It has its ups and downs. You should know within 2 hours if it is for you, that's all I can say. Refund it if you get the feeling you won't like its "diablo but fps" style.

This game is incredibly deep and fulfilling. A whole lot of mechanics working together like cogs in a machine. But you gotta be ready to buckle down and fire up all 8 of your autism cylinders.

Great game. Unfortunately you need copious amounts of DLC to really unlock it's potential and none of them are worth their asking price. It really hurts me to leave a negative review, I want to click that thumbs up icon so bad. $20 to add another window to click on and see a bunch of numbers? Just too steep a price.

I originally steered clear of this game. The fanbase is so vehement and rambunctious. How could a game with so many drooling air-heads screaming at the top of their lungs ever be any good? Well, at the behest of a friend, I gave it a go. Golly gee wilikers! This game kicks ass. The difficulty ramps up at an ever so smooth pace, backed by an amazing sound track. While I have discovered this game is great, it is flawed. Back tracking for side quests is extremely tedious, especially with all the grossly stretched out straight hallways. Not to mention the quite linear gameplay, there are some branching paths here and there but they don't offer much.

Despite its flaws, this game recieves an A+ in presentation, sound, difficulty, and gameplay. A truly unique game that everyone should give a whirl, at least once.

This game is dated as ♥♥♥♥, but luckily nexus mods for this game is pretty active (and juicy). You can soup this game up to look, uh, decent-er. More importantly you can fine tune the gameplay. Get the dog as a bonus companion, he's so much fun but isn't worth a character slot. Decisions in this game don't affect Dragon Age 2 that much, but it affects Dragon Age Inquistion a good bit. It's a good game my doods, slow, but deep.

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ amazing. This game will stroke your shaft, dip your nuts in gasoline, suckle the head, light a match, swallow the gravy, and set your balls ablaze. This game does it all.
Great core gameplay
Beautiful aesthetics
Expansive mod support
Great customization
Expansive DLC

This game has horrible graphics, it's filled with bugs, the teams are wildly unbalanced. The gameplay is extremely unintuitive, squeakers are abound everywhere, most of the servers (usually the ones with good latency of course) have ♥♥♥♥♥♥ rules tacked on that no one follows.

...And it's on of the best damn multiplayer games I've ever played. The community alone (not the steam discussions) makes this game worth it. The human element well and truly saves this game.

My original review was positive. Now, after speaking to the developers on the steam forums I can see they have some skewed or otherwise biased views. They also lock threads or ban people that criticize them. You can find out a lot more about it in other negative reviews or just browse the steam discussions for this game yourself. Most egregious to me is the censoring of some names and numbers without obvious cause like "Jeff Starship" and freaking numbers! NUMBERS! You can't have the word "two" in your in-game name!

Been playing the game again recently. I think I was a little too brief with my review. I only touched on the rules side and the developers' faults. I suppose I should mention some issues with the gameplay. See, it's very class based. What you can do each night, and sometimes during the day, depends on your class. Some of the classes are extremely boring and you seem to get them constantly. I've gotten Butler a thousand times. I just played a game where all the unseen ("bad" guys) all got caught night 1 and lost because they didn't have time to do anything. They were all dead and the game ended in a record time.

There are so many flaws in this game, and you might be wondering "well why are you still playing". I suppose it's because I've met some cool people and a lot of the time the people you play with love to joke around and have fun. It's kind of like SCP: Secret Laboratory in that the game's innumerable flaws are what make it enjoyable. At least if you don't mind getting social. Still that isn't enough for me to recommend it. I think the only thing devs got right is making the premium currency easy to get without paying for it.

A non-functioning DLC sold for $10 is theft. I don't know how they get away with it.

Holy cow, I did not expect this. My friend told me to play, no questions asked. He said not to judge this book by its cover. He was right. I'm thoroughly impressed. An engrossing story that I think can stand the test of time. I think there is something in this game that everyone can connect to. It may not be the same thing for everyone, but you'll find your link into the Literature Club.
