Man this one was surprising and ended up being special for me; a ton more people NEED to, on they very least, know about it.

This is a grid-based dungeon-crawler with first person melee-only battles, which are punch-out styled but it ALSO has:
* Directional and charged Attacks
* Special moves
* Blocking and Parrying
* Extremely responsive controls
You can also obtain different special moves and armor's, which themselves have their own different moves, special properties and health counts.
There are also potions of various effects that you can use at any time, which, as long as you manage to craft one of a certain type, you can restock up to your max potion slots (which you can expand) for free in the starting area.

The game is linear, where you have to make your way through a tower with different dungeons, which have random-encounter battles. To make progress in a dungeon you have to usually solve some light puzzles, making shortcuts along the way. And of course, there are boss battles before making it out of each dungeon.
To save, you must return to the starting area to rest, so you have to be cautious to not make it too far into a dungeon with low resources.

With much charm, a really pumping soundtrack, (that changes slightly in the midst of boss battles to pump the intensity even more) some really intense battles and a sweet little story...
Everything comes together to make a really great game overall. It sure left me with a warm and fuzzy feeling when i finished it.
