Played quite a bit of FTL back in the day on another account, and I've played more than enough XCOM to be familiar with RNG. But you can't say RNG isn't an issue when your perfectly functional plan of attack doesn't work because every single one of your shots misses. Repeatedly. There's nothing like being screwed over because just as you get the enemy ship's shield module vulnerable, all of your shots miraculously miss. And then they keep missing until those shields come back up. And then the enemy ship ...
