Subnautica is an affectionate and slow-paced game where you feel like Robinson Crusoe on a strange ocean planet.
I don't know what it is, but the game is so relaxing that it feels like vacation as I swim and dive in the shallows while the soundtrack does the rest for that extra atmosphere.

But when you go further out into the open sea and deeper into the dark blue depths, the game can really stress and scare you. Then it becomes a genuine survival game. For me one of the best I've played so far.

With its text-based background story, the game invites you to explore the world at your own pace, which I really like and enhances the whole thing with a great crafting system.

I'm also glad it doesn't have a co-op mode, because it has to be played alone to feel like Mr. Crusoe, as I said.

10/10 Great game.
