The game has gone downhill ever since changing owners/devs. There is still a huge lack of content, and there seem to be more and more bugs introduced with each update. The roadmap the new team had published seems to be completely irrelevant and ignored now. Don't expect much to change anytime soon.

I can't believe I didn't already write a review for this. What are you doing here reading this? Go play FEAR - it's great. Get the accompanying games too.

The best FarCry that there ever was. Change my mind.

No Todd, THIS is the game where "everything just works," (even when it doesn't).

So I bought this upon the release of v1.6 and my review is only from this perspective onward. I must point out that I was seriously considering not purchasing this game, even at discount. That's because of the despicable launch and handling of subsequent issues. I only gave Cyberpunk a chance after hearing good things about v1.6 and the possibility of further community modding.

Cyberpunk 2077 is a surprisingly fantastic game (now). That's only thanks to the people who pushed for change and the devs who made it happen, but certainly not their leadership. Yes, there were some bugs like with any other game, but I didn't experience anything game-breaking. It seems that the latest patch has made the game look more like how it should have released, but not completely of course. The inclusion of additional content including the official mod support are well received. Night City is perhaps one of the best urban environments I've had the chance to explore, and the story is very well done (the writing especially). The game play is typical of other RPG games, but it's relatively good, and the driving is very enjoyable.

My best guess is that Cyberpunk 2077 is going to become like Skyrim. It'll become that game you come back to every so often because of the awesome mods available. If you're even remotely interested, get it, but only when it's on sale of course (at least 50% off).

Early Access Review
To be clear, I've been playing these games for about 20 years now, since OFP. There will be fans that will defend absolutely everything the devs say without question. This is dangerous for any business in any industry, and needs to be exposed. Here's the long story kept short.

BI has always come out on top after patching up their games, but Reforger is different. All of the previous titles were basically revisions of the same engine, but now BI is building a new one. Reforger is nothing more than a tech demo to collect information for this new engine that Arma 4 is being built on. That being said, charging this much for a tech demo, and a poorly working one at that, feels akin to a scam. The game has had so many issues since launch that still have not been addressed, and the devs have not shown any indication that they are prioritizing those fixes. The biggest issue that has caused the player base to evaporate were the disconnects. How could information possibly be gathered if players cannot even stay in a server without constant disconnects from the server or even crashes to desktop?

Wait until Arma 4 comes out, and even then, wait a bit after it launches once we know what the game is and is not. It's extremely disappointing, and especially that BI has made such poor strategic decisions since Arma 3's launch that have led up to this point. We shall see if they can come out on top of this one, but it's going to require a lot more work and a fresh set of ideas to pull off successfully. I'll keep testing it from time to time and update/add comments as I go.

Regiments reminds me a lot of World in Conflict, and that's an excellent thing. Just like WiC, Regiments offers a good amount of unique and well thought out game play mechanics that sets it apart from other military RTS games. The only negative I can find is the lack of multiplayer (for now?) - a coop mode would be great. This game has true potential though - buy it if you're even remotely interested.

There is so much that can be said, but let's keep this brief. I never had the chance to play the games when they originally released, but Mass Effect is easily one of the best role-playing game series you could play right now. Get it when it's on sale - you can't go wrong.

"Who needs MK Ultra when you can have GTFO?" - [Redacted]

Being dumped into a mentally-scarring tour of highly secretive but lucrative experimentation programs has never felt so immersive. It's the perfect way to reinforce one's understanding of futility, and how a high ping can lead to a horrible and painful demise (don't ask me how I know that). You will form strong bonds with your fellow inmates during your perpetual journey through man-made hell. This is especially true after accidentally aggro'ing the entire room, or using that last medic pack on yourself when you definitely didn't need it. Remember, there is no "I" in "team," but there is one in "I need this more than you, probably."

I give this game a solid "You're all going to die down here" / 10.
Seriously though, get it. I need more friends to play it with anyway.
