I kickstarted both Bloodstained games and do not regret it at all thus far! Super fun! It's got a bit of Castlevania III gameplay mixed with modern gameplay mechanics. What's most interesting is the ability to go back in time and redo stages to get different endings, etc.

What I found super interesting was that the game's Aesthetic is a mixture of "Dark Fantasy" (like Dark Souls, Demon's Souls, etc) and Castlevania. So, all in all, it looks good, the music is amazing, and it plays well! Platforming is solid, pacing is good enough to keep you playing for several solid hours at a time. I highly recommend this!

Suprisingly fun, this game is superior to the original free version that was included with Sinclair Strange's previously completed titled (emphasis on completed): Jet Gunner. When Jet Gunner was released, an early version of Alien Splatter was given out with it as a free bonus. While that was fun to play around with, it had no controller support and had little replayability. This redux, on the other hand, shows that the developer took the time to flesh out their earlier concept into a fully fledged game. I highly recommend you check this one out if you're into games such as Contra, the original Metal Gear, or Vice: Project Doom (the most appropriate comparison to this game).
