This is a game for people stuck in the early 90s.

amazing 1 month a year at a time. boring for 11 months.

Severely dated garbage.

That was stupid. Also, don't ever make me watch your stupid credits before playing your game. I dont care about your names or fancy made up titles at your company. You dont get to harass me with that nonsense before i even spend 1 second controlling my character. This isn't a AAA game, this isn't a long awaited sequel... Just make the game playable or stay away.


Anyways, here's my review. The game is contrived artsy bullcrap, and anyone who says otherwise wasn't looking to actually play a game, or is seemingly trying to fit into the artsy crowd.


If you want to play an actual game, pass on this.

Edit: I've tried replaying the game a few times. It aint that good.


It isn't fun. The battles are tedious and boring. Nothing about this game is satisfying, and ive beaten it now after dropping it 3 times. I had to FORCE myself to finish a campaign. I skipped 99% of battles. Every single battle i went into was a snooze fest, and took 40 minutes to complete, NO THANKS. Diplomacy is complicated, but meh. Buildings are meh. Trade is meh. Units design is meh. Graphics are meh. The game is meh.


3/10. 3 for the vast amount of effort they put into the game, thats it.

Really fun. Addictive. Don't look at your face in 3rd person.

I beat everything in the game within 16 hours. I think its a 6/10. Will never come back, but sort of enjoyed it when i played.

If you have 40 hours set aside, try this out.

Definitely a case of rose tinted glasses with this one! The battles are absolutely terrible. The tutorial is a NIGHTMARE! It's BORING , the units are trash, the battles are one dimensional, the AI generals are terribly overpowered. I rage quit after dominating every single battle given, on the third battle. I wiped out the entirety of their forces, and had 800 or so forces left, compared to their general and maybe 5 of his bodyguards. I sent my cavalry into the city to capture is and surrounded his 5 men with mine. I hit fast forward, hoping to put this boring and uninspired battle to an end, over 20 minutes of droll and dry 'battle'.

Lo and behold, my general decided to die and end the battle. My singular general, on the edge of combat, with over 800 men, who were fully surrounding their general and his 5 or so men. After a 2500 man battle. Reached through and killed my fully alert, full health, full unit health bodyguard unit, surrounded by over 1000 men.


Uninstalled, Deleted, purged from my steam inventory. Don't touch, let it stay where it should be, in our memories.\
