Took a different approach from the original. Just as many if not more puzzles, with a continuation of the story of humans. truly a game worth playing after finishing the original. will be recommending it to friends

Simply amazing, if you like playing Ace combat or Project Wingman this is simply another game that NEEDS to be in your library. No early access jank, just needs a little re-balancing as some enemies are a little too difficult early on or you're just not equipped for them. Once this game gets the polish to figure that minor gripe out it's a solid 10/10

Edit/side note: this is going to be a steamdeck mainstay for me. works perfectly on Linux.

Disregarding early access issues, and the fact it runs on Linux relatively well. This is terrible, it has nothing in common with the original save for the mech designs. The gameplay is not only slower, but also simplified to the point to where it's a generic shooter that lets you dual wield any weapon. If you like Hawken go play the original on the Xbox one or PS4, i think the servers are still reachable there, if you're PC only like me you're SOL

the community is going down hill and the devs are focusing on changes that aren't helping. i personally know quite a few people who have or are planning on leaving the game because the devs are stifling community creators. i wouldn't recommend for the time being for the simple fact that the devs are pushing the game towards a slow and painful death. maybe i will later if the devs figure out a path to take the game that dosent end in it's death.

Update: I was going to update my review to something good, but i guess the devs decided to do something stupid... again. Oh look! in the beta! Easy Anti-Cheat... Soo the game wasn't unoptomized enough they decide to not actually fix anything and probably just make the whole thing worse.

Of my 42 (current hours) In No Man's Sky I can definitavly say i would give this game a 9.6/10 because it it wasn't for a plethera of problems other people have been having and lag spikes i've been haveing every so often. The game realy isn't that bad (apart from Murray being very vague and all the missing content loged o a deleated and since reuploaded reddit fourm that can be found here: https://archive.is/V5Zns)

edit: with the past few updates and especially the beyond update and switch over to vulkan api the game is much more playable and enjoyable, especially in vr.
