I really like this game, it's simple & easy to pick up. If you like arcade flight combat games & are a little tired of replaying missions from AC7 or PWingman this might be your jam. If you can survive long enough you'll end up with a pretty OP superplane.

I'd love to see the dev clean up some of the jank as time goes on, others will mention quirks/issues with the lock on system & the AI can be a bit cracked especially in later waves but it's manageable enough.

This is a simple game that does exactly what it set out to do & that's enough for me to give it a positive rating.

I haven't played before 1.0, but game is becoming an endless dodge simulator by stage 3-4 AND you have 0 countermeasures, just dodge

Whatever they did to this in 1.0 has broken whatever balance there was. Bear with me for a moment.
Missiles are 1-shots. Enemies can fire missiles whenever, even at spawn. Almost every enemy has missiles, and those that don't, deal 40% damage per hit. Couple this with enemies spawning behind or right in front of you before you can react, it leads to a lot of cheap deaths.
Everything can also out maneuver you, and due to the rougelike nature that can dump two frigates on your first wave, you have a quick wave of instant death or 20 minute "duck duck go" as you can't turn enough to catch them, but they're also always right behind you.
The lock-on seems to magnetize bullets to you, so don't use it unless in tight turns. NEVER use it if there's an objective or frigate, otherwise it will lock on that and only that and get you killed.

Absolute waste of your time if you want to feel anything except pure disgust. Maybe an update will fix it, but right now it's like ordering a steak and getting the lighter fluid instead.
