Original review: Destiny is one of those games that you can have a love-hate relationship with. For example, I love the combat, atmosphere, general gameplay loop, and power fantasy. On the other hand, I hate that in a loot game most of the cool loot is locked behind an in-game store. I also dislike that it is turning into more of a job/ chore than it used to be. There are other annoying things that prevent it from being perfect but it is a mostly enjoyable experience

Revised review: Destiny 2 was once a game with a lot of promise that has been let down by greed and or incompetence. The core gameplay loop was extremely fun, and engaging and made you want more. Unfortunately, this is marred by the numerous missteps the devs have done since I originally made my review. Let's get my biggest issue out of the way first, the vault. The vault is the single worst decision that the devs have ever made and is the main reason I stopped playing. Why? Because the Content I PAID for is now gone, poof. By removing this content, new players have no idea wtf is going on and old people like me can't even access what we PAID for. Now granted as a vet of the series I don't need to access it but I PAID $70 dollars for the base game and forsaken and it is gone... Instead, the new destiny has turned into a JOB. I play video games so I can have fun, relax and take my mind off of life, I shouldn't have to feel like I NEED to play the damn game. I have a limited time pool that I can dedicate to games and destiny doesn't respect that. And sure professional gamers are probably having a lot of fun but I don't get paid to play games. The constant grind has made playing destiny a chore and the lore is only accessible thanks to people like Byf. I cannot recommend anyone buy this game anymore. Whatever content you buy will eventually be deleted and playing the game is like having a job except you don't get paid for it, oh and you get punched in the ♥♥♥♥.
