All-In-One Steam Fix
Right click on Call of Cthulhu in Steam, click Properties, and paste the following into Launch Options:

cmd /c "set OPENSSL_ia32cap=:~0x20000000 && %command%"

I wish I could give this an "Okay" review.
It doesn't deserve a negative nor a positive grade. It's just okay.

It's an okay linear and short experience.
The skill points felt useless and like they had no impact whatsoever.
The whole game would have worked better as a Point&Click, but I guess that's not a very popular nor appealing genre...
The puzzles are either very basic or nonsensical.
The graphics are a mix between good looking environments and poor looking characters.

I did have a little bit of fun though.

Better to get in on sale - and keep in mind there are far better games out there, both in the same genre and with similar gameplay. Amnesia and Penumbra come to mind, but there are more.
