This game holds up well 11 years later. It was visually nice. The first run was fun enough. But then the extra puzzles required to complete everything were annoying. I have no idea how the first person managed to translate the Fezian language. I didn't enjoy not knowing what to do for the secrets or the tetris code puzzles.
This game was weird and sometimes it hurt the eyes. There was a ton to explore but moving around was pretty slow. There was a lot of backtracking. It got frustrating trying to remember the paths to where you wanted to go.
If you like puzzle platformers with obscure elements, this one is for you. But after all this time, I was not a big fan.

The main game is fun and the soundtrack beautiful. The downside for me is that the optional puzzles are way too obtuse. I ended up not completing them.

I wish Steam had a feature where users could rate games neutrally or provide 0-10 scores, instead of being limited to all positive or all negative ratings. I would rate this game 5.5/10.

The Good:

• The game offers a unique and original mechanic for its release date, likely inspiring many indie developers.

• cool levels,
  
• interesting puzzles (at times),
  
• and amazing music.

The Bad:

• There is a lack of narrative, lore, and character development. The entire mission is to collect yellow cubes.
  
• Even after 12 years since its release, the game is still full of bugs. According to the documentary "Indie Game" (which I love and have rewatched countless times), it seems only a few people tested the game. Any indie title should be extensively and carefully tested and QA-ed like any other game, regardless of team size.
  
• No fast travel system.

The Ugly:

• The game is full of cryptic puzzles, akin to deciphering ancient Egyptian scripts. Some puzzles are straightforward, such as simply collecting a cube or scanning a QR code to receive the solution. Others are excessively complicated, requiring actions like waiting in real life for 12 minutes, 12 hours, or even 24 hours to get a specific cube. It feels more like torture than a single-player game. Can we standardize creation of games where players achieve success through their brain and skills instead of enduring unnecessary frustration?
  
• Some puzzles even require pixel hunting. Wouldn't it be helpful to provide hints to guide the player on where to click?

I'm saddened that the author of this game stopped developing games due to not being able to handle criticism. I hope to see new games from him in the future.
