First world Hunt the Ce'tennan Oculus
Having to restart because my first world's first quest is to hunt the Ce'tennan Oculus, it's spawn location was next to my beam down location.

A monster that difficult needs to have some limits of where it can spawn...

it's a random quest that a random npc gave you that would probably just get them to join you on your journey.

Sorry to hear that! Unfortunately, it's not possible to limit where these monsters can spawn, as Starbound's quest generator doesn't take world threat levels into account... If ever something like this happens again, I recommend activating admin mode (type /admin into the chat box), and deactivating admin mode again after dispatching the monster.
