Mutro Destroyer

Divisions & Tactics
Alright, Now I'm no naval strategist, but I know my fair share of tactics in From the Depths.

Now When you build your first Mutro, you should keep it at your main base, do not and I repeat DO NOT, engage any enemies with just one Mutro, keep it at your base, that way the enemy will have to come to YOU, so you don't risk any 'Surprises' And risk losing your only Mutro, wait intell you have AT LEAST 2 Mutros, These ships dispite their name, are not destroyers, atleast size wise, being a mere 30 meters long, compared to Real-World Destroyers Like the Arleigh Burke Class at over 5 times that at 154m long.

However they do ACT like destroyers, fast maneuverable, and is very good for an escort role, Now what I reccamend are lets say you have 500,000 resorces and each Mutro being 42,000 you Hypothetically get 11 Mutros and continue from there, however I do not reccamend this, you should get one large, or larger Battleship, (Go on the workshop And find one, I reccamend the Pilkington, or perhapes the Dreadnaught) get that lets say it costs 300,000 resorces, that means you could get 4 mutros, 2 with the Battleship, and 2 with the Base.

Somethign else about the Mutros is that altought they are Very heavilly armed and armored, having systems for ships 10 times it's size, if the armor is broken and the mutro takes some internal damage... It's lost... The ship is so compact that if one vital system is hit, like the engine bay, or the weapons, it would cause a cascade explosion, doing MORTAL damage to the ship, I know from experiance... ( Remember the Resurgence!!! and the other 10 or so that I lost...) *Ahem!* Back on topic, if that explosion happend, the best thing to do is just... Scrap it, don't waste tons of resorces on just one ship, scrap it and earn more and build a replacement!

OH and one other thing... At the Middle-End part of the game, you will probebly have tons of these and a lot of battleships... I know, again- from expericance I have 7 Pilkingtons, 1 Ragnarok, and- Ya know about... uhhh over 40 Mutros, BUT-BUT that is beside the point, The point is... get a ton of names ready... TRUST ME when I say... You'll need them...

Edit- I done Goofed, When I stated that the Mutro is Like a destroyer, That was not entiarlly correct. Destroyers are More of Glass-Cannons, Doing Much damage very fast, But can't take that much damage themselves. However this somewhat the Opposite of What the Mutros do, they can take one Hell of a Pounding, And deliver a Lot of Damage, But less Destroyer. And More Corvette. But Mutro-Destroyer sounds way cooler than Mutro-Corvette, so Hell with it.

Edit 2... September- AAAAAnd I've goofed again... This is called 'Divisions and Tactics" And I just realized I had stated almost nothing about actual Division or tactics. So here I go!

I'd reccamend putting Mutros in Groups of 3, But even One of them is a Powerful asset against any Faction, Mowing down Aircraft with Minimal Difficalty. The Shields insure that Missiles are ineffective against a Mutros, and the Hull is some extra protection. The Only Kind of ships that Mutro's aren't that good at destroying are Laser-Equiped Weapons, But You could try to counter that with switiching the Shilds to absorb Lasers, But even then, Some lasers Sear through a Block at a time, and the Mutro has only 3-4 Blocks between the Outer armor and the internal systems. I've tested this on muiltiple occasions, and much of the time, one side or both sides of the shiedls are over powered, than BOOM! The Ship is Blown to Bits, That is why I reccamend 3 of them, they have Auto-Repair, but they can repair each other in teh case of severe damage. And as for tactics, Keep Mutros in the Front lines, that is a Go-Figure, But You can also use them as Transports, if the situation calls for it. What I've done before is remove the Dorsal ( Top ) Missile racks and replaced them with Recource Crates. I do NOT reccment this if you are fighting Aerial Factions, the Missiles are VITAL to destroying the larger craft. I will Come back when I realize I Goofed up 3 times...

Very cool of you to post this guide - thank you very much! I fully agree on the scrap once taking a major hit. Unless you've also added Qufo repair discs to your fleet - then let the Qufo's do the work. https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=886675121

The Medisu Mini Sub repair drone can also assist greatly with them: https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=854244016
Of course both repair drones require and use materials for repairs.

Thanks again to @WitherTax (#1 Mutro user!) for all the tips and feedback!

Have fun,
-Mortazel
