Q. Next mod update when?
A. When I have the time, energy and inspiration. While there are two people working on this mod now (myself and my co-content creator, Lithoboli), we do have lives of our own and other hobbies besides Starbound modding!

Q. Custom techs when?
A. I don't know how techs work and frankly I'm scared to find out.
I would LOVE to make it so these guys can actually shapeshift, but there's tons of other things in the mod that are of far higher priority.

Q. Can you add (XYZ thing) to the mod?
A. That depends, how feasible is it for me to do? Some content is much easier/less intensive/less time-consuming than others. I'm always very open to suggestions, though, and would love to know what people want to see added to the mod.

Q. Can you add MY (XYZ thing) to the mod?
A. Again, "that depends", just on how well it fits into the mod. But the answer's likely to be yes if you're willing to work with me on it. :D

Q. I found a bug/glitch/visual error/etc other problem! Please fix.
A. Please post your report in the Official Bug-Tracking Thread! I'll get to you when I get the chance.
If it's a game-crashing bug that's very easily done, you can probably just report it in the normal comments section though, since I doubt you'll be alone in experiencing it.

Q. I don't like the pride flags!!! Take them out!!!
A. Every time I get a complaint about pride content in this mod, I will add more pride content. This is a threat and a promise.

Compatibility FAQs:

Q. Does this mod work with Frackin Universe?
A. Yes, it should be 100% compatible, and FU has race perks for inkfish that I gave direction on. This said, I do not develop in an FU environment, so if you discover incompatibilities or weird things, let me know and I'll investigate it.

Q. Does this mod work with (XYZ other mod/s)?
A. It should, since it's designed to be as compatible with as many other things as possible.
You MAY possibly encounter issues if other mods use the same liquid ID as the custom liquid in this mod... but that's an unfortunate fact of the game using number IDs for things. If that happens, please let me know.

Q. Does this mod work with (NSFW mod)? Can I make it compatible?
A. No, and I forbid any use of it for NSFW mods or making edits of it for that purpose.

I have no issue with NSFW Splatoon content, it has its time and place, but I'm personally not comfortable with my work being used by others for that purpose. I would like that my feelings on the matter be respected.

(Not to mention, my lore for these guys is probably incompatible with all manner of those mods... for multiple reasons.)

Q. Can I alter this mod for (XYZ reason)?
A. Please don't do so without asking me first.

Q. I found an incompatibility with another mod, please fix!
A. Please supply logs so I can help determine the issues! You can find your Starbound error logs in /SteamLibrary/steamapps/common/starbound/storage as the file starbound.txt.
This error log documents your last play session and should show any incompatibilities in the form of text, which you can then show me so I can fix it. :)

Lore/Universe FAQs:

Q. Why do your inkfish look...weird, with the markings?
A. It makes them look more visually-unique from other humanoids. I'm a big fan of making Inklings look less human-like and more like the cephalopods that they are-- colorful, expressive, kinda strange critters. Also, the extra splash of color is fun and makes customization more interesting + makes some NPCs look absolutely absurd, which is the best.

Q. Why no male/female dimorphism?
A. It barely exists in canon content outside of eyebrows and voice clips, and I'd like to follow suit. As such, the only difference between "male" and "female" inkfish here is their voice clips.

Q. "But idols have visible boobs and--"
A. Inklings and Octolings are molluscs. They don't have those!

Q. Where are the Salmonids?
A. They're out there... somewhere...
