Brigades.
My thoughts on the brigades and the almost non existent strategy in battle was that they were to big and to costly, to build real armies that hold the line while raining hell on your enemies you would need 4-8 units in a formation.

So it got me thinking what if they were smaller and cheaper, so i started by doing the upkeep math and took all units and made them into 12 man squads while reducing the upkeep cost.

new upkeep formula (the math i used to get the new values)

Old Brigade cost / Old Brigade size = X (this gets me the cost per man)
X * 12 = New Brigade cost (this gets me the the cost for 12 men)

After doing this i almost had the results i was looking for but it still wasen't exactly what i was looking for, so i halved the actual models of the brigades.

Now i could field the same amount of brigades but i could have my army made up of different brigades instead of just one hoplite brigade.

Brigade changes done.
Dowscaled brigade size to 12.
Downscaled brigade upkeep
Downscaled the unit models

Buildings
(city upgrades)
With all the changes to the brigade sizes going on, i made the leap to start looking into buildings and i found "Reworked City- Upgrades" by Ca_Putt he had exactly what i was looking for but i thougt it was a bit unbalanced, so i asked if i could use his buildings in my mod and have started tinkering with the buildings to make them work better with my mod and the changes it makes.

I recommend using Reworked City- Upgrades while i tinker away.

Something else occured to me while i was playing, slaves have no upkeep however workers does so of i went to build a slave market, because the romans are famous for bringing slaves "home" and i was sorely disapointed the slave market weren't that usefull not even to take up one slot in one of my cities. This brougt on the the extra tiers to the slave market each upgrade costs to build but does not increase the upkeep cost and increases the maximum amount of slaves avalible to purchase.

Building changes done.
