Is research too slow or did I not allocate well?
I am enjoying this mod. The first time, I didn't realize the well water could help me out (I hardly use it even in vanilla), so when the juice drinks were running low and I couldn't make them fast enough, I gave up in the first Summer day 2 or 3.

Armed with that knowledge that I better make juice drinks faster, I started with 2 brewers. That helped and I survived to Year 4 and ongoing.

Initially, I started two mixingtables, thinking that both brewers can research and the cumulative research would help. However, I felt like it was kind of slow and even thought that one might be resetting the research of the other, so I later left it to the one brewer who had the higher skill. Even that took a really long time to get done for the first tier and second tier.

I have a similar problem with cooking research and metallurgy research, that seems to be taking much longer. By this Year 4, I have finished one level of metallurgy and still only about 1/2 way through the next research.

Coincidentally, as I think about it, once I want my tinkering gnome to research Tinkering in vanilla, that is the only job I have him doing, since no other jobs use Tinkering as much or at all. Compare that to the food, brewing, and smelting research, where all those skills are needed at other workshops, too, and so the gnome's time is split up to different tasks.

So I wanted to ask if it has been made slightly longer than the vanilla Tinkering research, or if I should have expected it to be about the same, meaning that I just probably had my researching gnomes doing too many other things.

By year 4, I can make sandwiches (level 2, I think), tea (level 3), and the first thing in metallurgy (level 1), but I'm not sure how much higher each of them will need to go to truly be finished.

Thanks!
