Grainy shadows
For a while now I've been using this lighting tool to make some pretty good-looking shading. While it does work for the most part, there is an issue I'm having when I'm looking at the shading's details -- Mainly that it seems the "shading" looks like a bunch of black, grainy particles covering the models I'm using with the lighting.

I'm posting an example here (Warning: contains icky five night game): https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/718148873872212119/783109545236889600/unknown.png

As you can see, epsecially around the teeth, there's this odd grain effect that seems to be on every model I use. Is there a way to make this look better, or is it just the best Gmod can do?

(I'm using Expensive Light: New)

This is how pre-Portal 2 versions of Source render shadows. It is not possible to work around this in Garry's Mod.
Sorry for the necro, but this is to do with blur within shadows; something that CAN be changed via advanced game settings addon, or the life mod panel. There in each addon is a list of things that can change the blurriness or "grainy-ness" of the shadows. Hope this helped.
