Broken Lords and CBP
First of all I love this mod, but I think due to the fact you have to buy pop and repair your army you'll fall behind in science. With the CBP you get rly fast pop with other civs and also science. Another problem is that you can't use the farming option in the productionlist and all buildings which grand +food are useless. Maybe I don't understand this civ by now or this civ can't be played with CBP.

Well, the civ certainly can be played with CBP, it's just a matter of how the balance is.

Now, take what I'm about to say with a grain of salt, because I haven't played CBP in a couple of months, and Gazebo updates at an absurd pace, so it's very difficult to keep track of it all.

Gold in CBP is not only very plentiful, but also generally weaker for its original purpose due to the severe restrictions placed upon rush-buying buildings. So the Broken Lords have a much better purpose for a yield that has been made significantly less useful to everyone else. Whether it's all actually balanced within the CBP, well, that's something I'm only going to try to determine when it won't be rebalanced again in 2 weeks max. I'll wait for Gazebo to say "okay, only bugfixes from here on out."

I forgot all the buildings which are added by CBP, but the Granary should still be replaced by the Dust Dredger, and all of the Aqueduct->Hospital->etc. buildings should be unbuildable. (If they aren't, something must be wrong with the Lua script.) You can't get Poverty reduction out of those buildings, but, uh...if you're getting hit with Poverty as the BLs, then I don't know what to say...

@Nyarlathotep thats the whole point of broken lords though in EL, they absolutly NEED dust (gold) to florish their economy and military, often sacrificing things like science to acheive this goal. this is why I believe that any mod like this to civ 5 is very special; adding strategems and game machanics from other games creating a sence of internal conflict, for example whether or not to just rush for more gold as the broken lords even though in a normal situation that'd be stupid.

also to answer your delema just get great library as fast as you possibly can, then you'll praticly dominate science as long as you keep expanding and maintaining your pop

oh, and don't worry about militay too much, just get some simple garrisons and stuff and don't overexert yourself during wartime, also (ironicly enough) you sould realy just focus on ranged units to avoid having to pay to heal almost EVERY turn.
