Talk not showing in bubbles

The dialogue the villagers are saying are showing up in the debug log, I can open it and read what they're supposed to be saying there, I can click the button on the bottom of the screen to open dialogue that has happened as well. but there is nothing popping up in bubbles. Any idea what might be wrong?

Sorry for the late reply, I forgot to check the discussion messages. There have been numerous bug fixes recently, and this issue may have already been resolved. Could you let me know if you’re still experiencing it?
