Loading Progress
Big issue with latest update
As of the aug 22nd update (possibly sooner, but I think that one did it) Loading Progress seriously messes with my mods. For a simple example the following load order results in no red errors, but completely prevents Dubs Minimap and RimHUD from functioning. You can access their settings, but that's it.

Load order:
Harmony
Loading Progress
RimWorld + DLC
Dubs Mint Minimap
RimHUD

Simply removing Loading progress fixes the issues. I also performed a full mod settings wipe before this which didn't help. I'm now convinced something got seriously broken in the recent update, and that Loading Progress is responsible for many other mod errors I've been experiencing recently.

Update: Dozens of mods which were exhibiting weird behavior, partially functioning, or not functioning at all are now fixed by removing this. I hope it gets resolved because Loading Progress is awesome.

I didn't realize there was more than one build released on the 22nd. I updated the mod and it seems to be fixed now, even with impact tracking turned on (although I can't find where to view that data). I'll keep an eye on it, especially since any mod that hooks the loading pipeline is dangerous.

So there are still some issues. With impact tracking on with my full load order TD Enhancement pack fails to load entirely. I can provide logs if you want. I'm going to keep that feature off for now though.

Yeah, there was a bit of an oops with the 0.9 release, but it's been mostly fixed with the release of v0.9.3. I'll look into the TD Enhancement pack.

I'm unable to reproduce the problem, TD Enhancement Pack loads just fine with version 0.9.3 of the mod for me. Could you get a log for me when you have a chance?

LMK if there are other logs you need. I've not actively played Rimworld for a bit, so can't recall all the log locations. This is a huge mod list, so perhaps there is a conflict or some other mod is the issue and Loading Progress is just triggering it.

Also it was implied, but for clarity I'm using TD Enhancement pack continued (https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3525414162). The red error (the only one I get in this mod list) only appears when startup impact tracking is turned on.

Finally, I still don't see any obvious way to view the startup impact data. Either I'm blind or that's also an issue.

I obviously believe you, seeing as how I can read your log, lol, but this is what I get when I load that mod along with mine with startup impact tracking turned on[imgur.com]. No errors or warnings or anything.

Also, the way to see the startup impact data is to click the text in the bottom-right corner of the main menu where it says "Game took XX:XX to load." I need to make that more prominent.

Oh well. If I need the data I'll just temporarily remove TD Enhancement, and then turn impact tracking off when I'm ready to play. I'm sure it's a combination of factors given I'm using over 300 mods. I've already spent over 20hrs fine-tuning this pack, removing conflicts, and resolving errors and this one is thankfully easy to circumvent I'm not gonna lose sleep over it, and wouldn't want you to either. Appreciate you looking at it all the same. :)
I also have the issue with TD Enhancement pack when startup impact is turned on - I first mistakenly reported it at that mod as it updated today - unfortunately removing TD Enhancement pack causes savegames that already use it to fail loading with a world creation error.

I do not have issues with any of the other mods that were mentioned in the original post.

@Drexl I guess we could post our RimSort mod list links and check which we both have if there is something else involved additionally? Here's mine: https://rentry.co/2vzkhe8r

That's so weird. Why doesn't it happen for me?! You can see me loading TD Enhancement pack continued and my mod and with startup impact tracking in my screenshot up there. It's so hard to fix bugs I can't reproduce.

Heyo, current dev of TD Enhancement pack. I use Loading Progress as well and have had no issues. I assume that I'm running 0.9.3.

Also yikes on being unable to remove TD Enhancement pack, would love that error it gives you, since there shouldn't be anything that prevents it being removed

Yeah, this is almost certainly some kind of weird interaction with a third mod, but I'm guessing neither of us mod authors use that one... so unless someone else with the problem is willing to do the thing where they remove half their mods until the problem goes away and narrows down the troublemaker that way, we're kind of just fumbling in the dark here.

To be clear, I'm not expecting anyone to put in that effort. But it's probably the only thing that would let me figure out the problem quickly.

I'd volunteer to try figuring that out, but it'd be great if you both shared your modlists via rentry - I will likely be able to exclude some mods we share that seemingly not cause the issue :)
Ugh, issues like that are the worst :astariondisapprove:
