I have no idea how to share the models but I have no issue with them being used. I daresay some my techniques to create them are not up to standard but anyone who want to use my ideas to expand or improve feel free. This is all I have tried to do with the original
I will check the portraits but I believe I added greek portraits into the mix. I didn't remove all 'egyptian' portraits as it was clear that many native egyptian born noble filled the ranks of both the armies and the officers so wanted to reflect this. The 'Greekness' also faded with time so wanted this to also be prominent. Some of the buildings also reflect greek culture above a certain level, namely militia. The more 'professional' levels of infrastructure look greek on the UI. Sadly the 3D aspect is beyond me.
The hoplite phalanx was kept as it's too much of a core part of the the gameplay and balance. I appreciate there is good evidence to favour a shieldwall but as some barbarian units now have this it would make them less unique to play.
Thureos units weren't added to Seleucia due to the fact they have legionaries. I changed them for a more appropriate model, namely principes, as this is much closer to what they probably were as opposed to plate armoured legionaries of late antiquity. Again a slightly unique unit for the faction instead of cut and paste for all greek factions.
I generally don't remove a unit unless it is just too outlandish or feel unique/critical to gameplay. Pontus did use chariots so chariot archer are at least 'feasible' in the same way swordswomen were more feasible than screechers as a battlefield unit. There are dozens of examples of warrior women from scythia to Britain in grave findings. Headhurlers are stupid but Briton has a limited roster and couldn't really think of another unit to replace them that wasn't just as fictitious.
Hopefully this explains some of the thinking. Rest assured almost everything was evaluated and considered when creating this mod. I do feel there is a Vanilla 'plus plus' that could be done with a more accurate tone but I am happy with things for now.
Thanks for playing!
