Medieval Overhaul
Help a dumb old guy with mod order
I just cant figure it out and I dont know what I'm doing wrong. Either the mods fail to load or stuff loads but I end up with the default tech tree/buildings and enemies shooting me with guns.

Does anyone have a good modlist for getting this working, and the order which they should be installed?

Also, do I have to instal all the rimedieval stuff too, or is that optional?? I've searched around and found a few yt/streamers who have listed modpacks but I cant ever seem to get them working and just alt-f4 and go do something else.

Hey do you still need help ? I might be able to
Yes please.Would you mind sharing which mods you used, and what order they were in?

I tried again once and everything looked great until the pirate faction showed up with pistols.

Hey,
For the base of my current Medieval playthrough, I’m using this collection:
https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3294886164
I don’t use all the mods that come with i some are turned off purely based on preference.
Also, make sure to replace the Tasty Armory mods with the updated ones.
I added some other stuff along the way, but there’s nothing in there that you quote-unquote need.
It sounds like you just need to get rid of the modern factions. You can achieve this by using Faction Control to remove them before starting a game, or by using Rimedieval, which is a mod that blocks out all modern tech.
That might help but its hard to fix stuff over text.
If that dose not help just ask again we will get this to work for you one way or another.

When you click the mods button there is a button at the top auto which will put them in the correct order.

Hello! i recommend using an app called RimSort (or RimPy but that ones database is old). It might be hard to set the program initially, but it makes creating modpacks (and sorting modlists) a lot easier! If you want, i can record a short video that will guide you through it.

Hey, yeah, RimPy and other sorting tools can be quite useful. I, for my part, rarely use them (I just auto-sort all my mods via the default interface), but that’s just a matter of preference, I guess.

As I said, I recommend using Rimedieval and Faction Control with Medieval Overhaul as a base for your mod list. Those three should set the right tone. What you add on top is your choice. Just make sure the mods you add are compatible, up to date, and ideally fit the medieval theme (tech wise, so nothing gets overwritten).

If you have your mods ready and still face problems, just ask again. I wouldn’t mind even helping you via Steam or a Discord call.

Last note: The mod list I posted is of course not up to date at this point.
