List of Item Sources
This 'discussion' lists out how to obtain most of Arsenal's items:

Crafted Items:
The majority of items in Arsenal are crafted. Please refer to the Guide or a mod like Recipe Browser for information on crafting recipes, as there are simply too many to list.


Enemy-dropped Items:
Like with crafted items, it is better to use Recipe Browser to get information on enemy-dropped items.
There are some noteworthy drops, those being;
  • BlockCrusader's Set & Blockchain: Has a 1/300 chance to appear from any Hardmode Boss's (Except Queen Slime) Treasure Bag, similar to vanilla Developer Sets.

  • Jewel of Legends: Drops from the Moon Lord only in Legendary (Master Mode) Get Fixed Boi worlds. This is a special crafting material used to upgrade the Waffle's Iron (GFB-exclusive weapon) and its Arsenal counterparts.

  • Master Mode items: The mod has a special Master Mode weapon/item drop for each boss. By default these have a 1/3 drop rate in Master Mode, but this can be adjusted via. config to be more/less common, and/or drop in Expert Mode as well.


Chest-exclusive Items:
  • Energized Staff: Found in Granite Chests. Also sold by Skeletron Merchant when in a Granite cave.

  • Phalanx Staff: Found in Marble Chests. Also sold by Skeletron Merchant when in a Marble cave.

  • Talon Dart & Feather Flayer: Found in the Floating Island's Skyware Chests, and Sky/Space fishing crates.

  • Jungle Staff, Great Branch, Spore Bomber, and Little Snatcher: Found in the Jungle's Ivy Chests, and Jungle fishing crates.

  • Bone Blasta, Waterflame, and Caster Staff: Found in the Dungeon's locked chests, and Golden Lock Boxes (From Dungeon fishing crates).

  • Eighth Circle, Hades's Inferno, and Hellbinder: Found in the Underworld's Shadow Chests, and Obsidian Lock Boxes (From lava fishing crates).
Also note that shimmer can be used to cycle between the items of a given loot pool. Likewise, the Energized and Phalanx Staves can also be shimmered between.


Shop-exclusive Items:
  • Glaive Gauntlet: Sold by Cyborg.

  • Ricochet & Atmospheric Ignition: Sold by Cyborg post-Martians.

  • Heavy Warhead: Sold by Cyborg post-Golem.

  • Hand Canon: Sold by Pirate.

  • Boarder's Hook: Sold by Pirate post-Plantera.

  • Steampunk Remote: Sold by Steampunker.

  • Corsairial, Steamshot, & Clockwork: Sold by Steampunker post-Mechs.

  • Techblade, Scrap Hook, Mechanized Bow, & Spark Taser: Sold by Goblin, which of the four is sold depends on the current moon phase.

  • Fuel Tank: Sold by Goblin.

  • Hunter Dart: Sold by Witch Doctor in Hardmode.

  • Coconut Cannon: Sold by Witch Doctor in Hardmode, while living at the Ocean.

  • Totem Staff: Sold by Witch Doctor post-Plantera, at night.

  • Tiki Headress & Tiki Mask (Vanilla): Sold by Witch Doctor post-Plantera. Tiki Headress is sold during the day, and the vanilla Tiki Mask is now only sold at night.

  • Makeshift Missile: Sold by Demolitionist.

  • Demoman Pack: Sold by Demolitionist post-EoW/BoC.

  • Partycandle: Sold by Party Girl after defeating Skeletron, EoC, and EoW/BoC, OR defeating Goblins and all pre-Hardmode bosses except Skeletron and WoF, OR at any time in Hardmode.

  • Beam Scepter: Sold by Wizard.

  • Finger Gun: Sold by Wizard while the Party Girl is present.

  • Dart: Sold by Merchant. Also sold by Skeleton Merchant based on moon phase

  • Nature Spirit Staff: Sold by Dryad

  • Dryad's Gift: Sold by Dryad post-EoW/BoC.

  • Bone Dart:Sold by Skeleton Merchant when not selling normal Darts (Based on moon phase)

  • Catapult: Sold by Skeleton Merchant when moon phases that aren't New or Crescent Moons, OR at any time in Hardmode.

  • Hand of Olympus: Sold by Skeleton Merchant after defeating a Mechanical Boss, while in a Marble cave

  • Granite Guardian: Sold by Skeleton Merchant after defeating a Mechanical Boss, while in a Granite cave

  • Vertex: Sold by Skeleton Merchant post-Plantera.

  • Battlestaff: Sold by Travelling Merchant

  • Rapier: Sold by Travelling Merchant post-EoC

  • Toy Gun: Sold by Travelling Merchant post-EoW/BoC

  • Fancy Foil & Thousandfold Cutter: Sold by Travelling Merchant in Hardmode

  • Charged Cord: Sold by Travelling Merchant post-Golem


Shimmer Exclusives:
  • Charged Blaster Cannon <=> Genesis Cannon

  • Dart => Shimmer Dart

  • Terraprisma => Divinity => Radiance => Lacewing's Dance => Terraprisma

  • Waffle's Iron => Red Rifle => Ocram's Revenge => Fixed Staff => Waffle's Iron
Note this list is only for Shimmer-exclusive items. Some other transmutations exist for swapping between similar/related items.

In classic mode Aurora has a 1/8 drop chance (An Arsenal weapon is guaranteed to drop, and there are 8). I just noticed Moon Bite actually doesn't drop from ML in classic. I guess I made such a change pre-emptivley as Moon Bite will be removed when tML and Arsenal finally port to 1.4.5 when that's out (Since that update will have an official ML-themed tentacle whip).

In Expert mode, both whips can drop at roughly 1/12 odds (1/6 to get either/or);
Each of the 4 classes has a 25% chance to get a weapon of that class; among those each weapon has an equal chance to drop. Due to there currently being 3 ML summoner drops (The whips and Dark Mirror), each has a 1/3 chance to drop if summon is chosen as the weapon class to drop.

By default it is possible to shimmer between the Void Mirror and Aurora. Meaning that with Shimmer, your odds of getting a whip are roughly 1/4 regardless of difficulty.
However, this also means Moon Bite is - unintentionally - unobtainable in Classic...

The Cyborg sells it once Martian Madness has been beaten.
You may have missed it in the list as it's grouped alongside Ricochet in the same line, since they have the same sell condition (Took me a few passes to notice myself lol)

Edit: Nevermind. I found them, they drop from the eclipse event.

There's just the Forgotten Hero Shards, which you craft from the Broken Hero Sword. The Shards can be used to craft any of Arsenal's Terra weapons
