Hakbukan, LMAFOs (or Bombards) and a flavor of missile cavalry for the rout.
Always have 2 or 3 outriders w/grenades if I can, the only vanilla unit I always include.
It's pretty potent, especially in sieges
Then, out on the flanks, I usually run two units of Bergjaeger on each side of the line to handle the inevitable flanking cavalry.
Behind the main line, I usually run three units of mortars, and three units of Helstorm rocket batteries.
After that, it's whatever suits your fancy for a few specialist units or heroes.
So the enemy gets chewed up by a ton of artillery in the charge to your line, then they get blasted by the infantry. Half the time not a single unit manages to engage in a melee before getting shredded.
1x Lord (sorta need one for an Army.)
1x Engineer (You 100% need to capitalise on the engineer buffs.)
8x Hakbutschen (they're the core and the mainline in the army.)
2x Thrice-Pistols (With some upgrades from tech, elsbeth -and Imperial armoury though not neccesarily required- these become the perfect mixture of shock/missile cav)
4x Artillery guns (Usually 4 mortars. Usually gets exchanged for rocket artillery and the lonesome Great Cannon if the need arises, but 4 mortars will do the trick for the first 70 turns or so.)
2x Bergjaeger (designated anti-large.)
2x Variety (Whatever unit i want extra or i feel i lack in the current war, these do always become tanks / landships the moment i unlock them. Plugging in 2 field engineer units for this has paid off nicely before as well.)
