Hi , for the next update , I would love to play as Malaysia (under British rule in this mods)

I can make the Malay States playable with events to form Malaysia as well as the option to join the Allies as an independent democracy.

I would like to see another African nation besides Ethiopia, playable, and events that would allow the creation of an African Superstate.

I'm completely unaware of how events in Supreme Ruler work, but having an event for the formation of the 'Xikang' warlord state in China could help balance things for the Chinese Civil War, as well as serving to show the weakening of the KMT. They intentionally withheld their forces, at least during the Civil War, before later defecting, so at least in that respect they were pretty much just doing what they desired.

There's a limited number of countries allowed into the map and groups like the Xikang Clique and the Sichuan Clique were often in-fighting neutral warlords which politically had no influence compared to the Kuomintang which could squash them. In Ukraine for example you had the rebel forces from WW1 despite being a nuisance they didn't really contribute much as a faction compared to another group like the Ma Clique who were threatening to the Xinjiang Clique and Tibet, and the Shanxi Clique was even stable enough to employ Japanese soldiers to fight Mao.
I didn't know that. Same problem as Darkest Hour then?

SR:U is quite limited in what you can actually do, hopefully when they release a new game you'll have more creative liberties.
Hopefully. Out of curiosity, what are the limits regarding events and the like? Are 'dynamic', as in choice-oriented, leadership decisions or triggered coups and gov changes possible?

You can have triggered events by a text box button, so if you see something with an 'Ultimatum to Romania' that's a trigger for other events in the background. Others can happen from events in the map while some are staged with time.
Are branching leadership events possible? Less of an issue for WWII, where the main things would be in creating the setup for the Cold War in the event of history, or whatever you intend for alt-history - but for the Cold War itself I imagine it would be nice to have there.

Advent of War already includes branching leadership early on it's just not set up for late game yet. You can use IF, OR, AND, NOT and buttons to trigger events, so if you made USA communist for example it'll activate their leader branch and disable the historical one. The triggers for AI though are very complex since you don't want to make it lag too much and the AI might not activate the triggers every time, it's easier for players since they can do behaviours to activate events.

how do you trigger the events yourself? Thanks

There's multiple triggers such as having a relationship with a foreign country, specific sphere alignment, production, economy and dialogue choices in text objectives.
