Description
Advent of War 1936 (Pre-Release 01 July 2022 Beta)

A World War 2 mod based on historical events with alternative history designed for multi-player.

Features)

New leader portraits from World War 1 to Modern times as well as leaders from alternative history for example Austria-Hungary in World War 2.

New flags and new countries, created with Yaki-Da and Viper151.

New countries including the Chinese warlords of the Kuomintang and Mao’s Chinese Soviet Republic.

New unit balancing and tiered infantry to help smooth out the game’s technology progression.

New unit designs added into multiple countries including major powers, middle powers and minors such as the United States, Poland and Argentina.

New map including resources such as rubber around the equator, new cities and small islands.


Planned Features)

Fix the German events to allow Anschluss and Munich Agreement and similar treaties by players.

Buff AI Germany

More unit designs and leader portraits.

New resources and cities on barren parts of the map such as Greenland.

Playable colonies.

SR:2030 is 64-bit and allows things like more countries in the map and federations, it's generally just a better platform to use for modding. It'll take a while though to set things up on it.

I hope to make a new WW2 in Supreme Ruler 2030, been working on a new map for that. 1 reason why WW2 is a little strange in SR:U is because the AI itself has no sense of winning the game, Italy already had its aggression lowered but is still likely to be incompetent. The AI for example doesn't build large armies because they probably sold their oil and rubber and are building engineers instead of infantry and stockpiling. When I work on the SR 2030 Version it'll likely have a 1933 or 1934 start so there's more preparation time for the war.

The great issue is when Italy a very weak nation declares war on Swzterland and France alone in the beginning of the game, this was a moderate peace era and should just begin in 1940. Could lock basically all decisions on Italy?? I cant prepare for the war with my "great" ally. The soldiers of Itally lost almost all battles on the war and it was with lower technologies and old weapons historically and they never will win a France army alone. I dont remember the name of the weapon they used but was very old and very bad for Ifantry

Ideas: Historically the army of Poland was 1 million in 1939. And i T|hink France was 1,5 million or 3 million. It will make more deaths to the war with Russia later, and a difficult added. Can make the US send 1,5 million on Sicily too, or the US are just watchers on this game of the World War? It will make very challenging to win as Germany

All we know the best part for reviving the game is the great war with Russia. Could make it more challenging? The bigger part of the game is on it!!

The Casualities are very low and sometimes nobody are to conquer. Set to Normal Military dificult. Expand Land Production on China, Poland, France, URSS.

I'm currently working on a map for SR:2030, eventually it can be used to remake the 1936 scenario new instead of using a modified version of SR:U 1936.

Hopefully the new version will be better although some content like unit designs can be added to the SR:U version as well as more starting military units which still need finishing.

France's main weakness is being overrun with German designs which a player will pursue the AI though likely keeps building engineers instead of appropriate designs for the task.

The only time I witness the Axis going after the French with full force is with random attacks against players, if it's an AI France the Axis don't seem to even try and just allow the French to invade.

Based on that 3 million reinforcements count the French can build up a huge army if played correctly but the AI rarely does what is required, if you play France yourself you'll easily get a giant military.

To help the AI though I've just added 12 motorised infantry, it won't make a significant difference but may still help a little as the AI would have some engineer cycles of infantry added.
